I’m sure it’s been said already, but Stevie Richards has to be one of the most under appreciated wrestlers of the 90s. Here’s a guy who was a solid worker, could talk, and would genuinely make whatever you gave him work.. I mean on paper you’d never have thought an NWO parody would have been as successful as it was and yet it got over huge

Met Stevie Richards a few years ago (pre covid). I forget where this took place but I stared at him (he was eating?) thinking ‘I swear I know him”. He ended up coming over, buying me a smoothie, and we chatted for 15 minutes. Got his autograph too (now beneath archival glass beside a picture of him from a magazine). He is the greatest bro on the planet..I swear. We talked about many things. Since I’m shy by nature and it affects my voice, Stevie, telling me if his voice injuries, taught me about focusing my energy between breaths. Told him I loved his TNA Dr. Stevie angle (he laughed. Said he wanted to be a therapist and it finally happened. I was like oooo kkkkkk ummm lol). Tried paying him back for the smoothie, he politely declined. Said it was nothing. He was happy to do it because I’m a fan and made him feel still relevant….of course Steven Richards is still relevant. But thank you Mr. Richards for blessing me with a treasured memory I’ll never forget. You’re the best.

I'm proud to say I was in attendance the night after the 2000 King of the ring to see the debut of the RTC Stevie covering up Terri Runnels with a towel.
