    Great advice. I got lucky that the super cheap Echelon I bought already has Bluetooth and gives me cadence, speed, resistance, watts, and even my heart rate from my Apple watch. It’s been tricky to figure out how to get that imported to Strava. As a casual cyclist I would say the seat cushion isn’t a bad idea, but finding a better seat that actual fits your body is ideal. Cushions may solve it for some, but it can make it worse for others.

    Right with you until you suggest a gel pad. Nope get a proper saddle that fits your body, that will be much narrower than the supplied one. How many TDF riders use a gel pad?

      Hey Romero. I used the double sided tape that was included with the speed sensor. I haven't had any issues with it falling off, so it looks to work well.

      I would still pay for a Peloton. Mine is arriving at the end of March. Mostly because I believe in enjoying the finer things in life. The quality and community that comes with Peloton Bike are also what made me buy.

      Q: is that a Wahoo Device OR Wahoo app running on your Smartphone on your handlebars ?

    Does the speed sensor sync with the Peloton app? I know the cadence sensor does, but I’m unsure if I really need the speed sensor.

    • @psalm2forliberty577
      @psalm2forliberty577 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't heard that.
      Only cadence is said to work with Peloton.
      (Open to correction)
      Reason he has both is hes using Strava which is a robust uber popular Ride Tracking / Comparison app for real world cycling or any fitness sport.
      Whereas Peloton is more a visual Video motivation platform with minimal interaction via App on 3rd party spin bikes & maximal on their Peloton bikes.
      Make sense ?
      There are even other fitness video providers like Les Mills RPM for Spin Classes - different still as theyre all prerecorded & scripted led by a team of Pro Trainers.
      This gentleman in this video isnt using Peloton or Les Mills or Zwift.
      He appears to be mainly tracking Spin ride stats & upload to Strava.
      I was wondering if the display he shows on handlebars is a Wahoo Device OR App ?
      (Didnt look quite like Strava)

      You'd think lol.
      Im just entering the "Indoor Spin - Virtual Training Universe" myself and its a steep learning curve.
      I won't despair I see a steep descent ahead !
      (Couldnt resist lol)
      Seriously it does appear there are a wide selection of apps - more than just Zwift / Peleoton / Strava so a person can set up a Spin bike or Indoor trainer any which way.
      Almost too many options !

    Alright mate, sound advice and i'm halfway there (got separate speed,cadence sensors and arse protection🤣) if i were to get a heart rate sensor as well could i add them all to one android device (tablet) and which app would run this? also, is there a simple Android app that floats over other apps (and runs in background) that can read your speed cadence and mileage in the corner of ones screen whilst say watching youtube/movies etc? if you can help me out you garner a sub and perhaps a next topic! Peas.👊

    which HR monitor to buy?

    • @chilldeeply
      @chilldeeply  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any Bluetooth HR monitor will do. I would suggest getting one with ANT+ as well to future proof yourself. ANT+ is a protocol that allows your HR monitor to connect to multiple devices at once. Some apps and devices may require it.

    If people want to spend the money then whats that to anyone else. I understand you're just trying to educate people on other options but it doesn't mean peloton isn't right for anyone.
