Hello and welcome to Fat Guy Flies Rc, today I am doing the maiden flight of the Arrows Rc Trekker 1200mm RTF. I am using all the stock RTF equipment included with the purchase of this plane.
You get the plane, a battery charger, the battery which is a Arrows 1300 mah 3s lipo, and of course the Arrows transmitter.
The plane features the levels of flight which are the following:
1 Stability mode or self level.
2 Direct mode or gyro completely off.
3 Dynamic which features a wind mitigation gyro. (my favorite)
In the video I demonstrate all three to include a take off and landing in all three modes using the supplied set up. *** in the video I meant to say 1300 mah battery not mm battery..LOL*

I was a little worried about doing a maiden on a RTF plane using a transmitter I am unfamiliar with. I was pleasantly surprised!
A very good display of the arrows trekker especially in unfavorable conditions Greg. I'm with you that it is a great trainer and even a relaxing flyer for the more experienced pilots. A good flight Greg and congratulations on your affiliation with Arrows and HZ your friend Marty from Canada 🇨🇦 🛩 🛩

Greg, the only thing that I don’t like about this 🦅 is no throttle cut which IMHO is very dangerous! Other then that I agree it’s a great trainer! For $230.00 bucks it is great plane to start with. 👏👏👏👍 Congratulations on getting a sponsor! ✋
Well thanks so much and I will make this into a PNP quickly. Since I want a timer, throttle cut use my nX10 and etc...etc.. AND Hobby Zone does not pay me I had to pay for the plane and they offered to make me an Affiliate. So I will recoup some money if people buy using my link.

this Arrows RTF stabilization equipped Trekker looks like a nice affordable trainer for any beginner just getting into the hobby...... I have always liked the quality of Arrows kits and Hobby Zone support is outstanding.....I wish this was offered when I started out....any way to program a throttle cut on it?......thanks for sharing
No unfortunately. I have since switched it to a PNP with a spektrum ar410 rx so I can run it on my NX10 and have timer, throttle cut etc..etc.
@@FatGuyFliesRC lol NX 10 is more than double the cost of this plane those must be snazzy features but who can start out spending that much money? I just bought this plane RTF and with an extra battery and coupon code it was 245 which is great but the cost of an NX would make the hobby unaffordable to me at this point. I am very new but I wonder at what point does an expensive radio become worth it?

Yes two screws hold on the back fuse and the elevator just pressure fits in. I would save the box for travel.
Is the elevator attached with screws or did i miss that on your assembly video ? Will be watching for a grass ops video. I am trying to decide between the Trekker or the TOP RC Thunder.
The elevator just pressure fits in . I was skeptical but it holds very tightly. It just sort of locks in . I also own the Top Rc Red Thunder it is a nice plane but does not meet in quality standards as this one. One example is the landing gear is held in with self tapping screws into hard plastic. Once these loosen then a glue repair will be needed. The Trekker gear are held in with metal machined screws going into metal brass fittings and this is surrounded in HARD plastic. The Trekker has some suspension to its gear where the Thunder does not. These are just a few examples where the Trekker is better quality. Go back and watch the Unbox and build again you will see what I am talking about.

You said the stock battery goes all the way forward. My plane has Velcro installed under the rear strap and the battery tray has a cutout under the front strap. Did you put the battery up against the firewall ?
