    Would like to try those but they are super expensive. Instead, I use Rollerblade Urban Inline Wheels for rain skating. They are 80A hardness but look like hydrogens. After about two skates they offer a lot of traction in the wet (probably needed a bit of scuffing). They make the rain feel just about the same as 84A Seba wheels -- fast, slow, backwards, no problem. I also use sealed Rollerblade bearings with them. After a skate I put the skate on an air purifier to wind dry them all day. They are holding up really well. A bonus is that they are inexpensive.

      Thanks for the tip about Rollerblade Urban wheels. Do you mean that using them in the wet feels like using Seba 84A in the dry?

    Those wheels are definitely on my watch list. I recently moved to an area where even though the land is pretty flat and smooth compared to Washington DC, it rains ALL THE TIME. The only problem I can see with this wheels is that it seems to be a pain to change the wheels whenever it rains, unless you have them attached to a different pair of skates

      @TiagoInlineSkater  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      oh I see 🤔
      Oh yes I understand you! I don't like changing setups all the time either so I usually make a different setup for each pair of skates :) less time wasted in screwing stuff over and over! (but I have so much skates now that I'm planning selling them for cheap and giving some to charity)

    • @TiagoInlineSkater
      @TiagoInlineSkater  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SkatingWithPey Love the question, and will make a video about the hardcore evos
      Love the tech in these skates! for less than the Igors, I have some lighter skates, heatmoldable, great advantages with the trinity mount... just wish the materials were nicer, just like the igors; wish the top part was stiffer, just like the igors; and wish the mounting plates were better ( some tend to get stuck) just like the igors.
      Really like my Hardcore Evos though, but I'm really looking for the next Igors!
      but I love both skates!

    @geu6270 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks, I was wondering about these wheels. Your first slip was on paint. A good point should be mentioned paint and metal plates will kill you at speed.

  • @chrisalexthomas
    @chrisalexthomas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've got these wheels, they're pretty nice once you get used to them. My skill level is nowhere near yours, but I manage to skate slowly, but surely. You have to underpush a lot because you can't extend your wheels too much otherwise they slip as if you're on ice. Unfortunately, there are many terrains in the city where the paving stones are covered with a thin layer of slippy algae that you don't realise until it gets wet and then they turn into ice. But if you keep focused on under-pushing I find it works better. Every time I go out on them I get better at handling the wet, but it's super important to not overextend and I think it's just a matter of getting used to a different stride. At first I hated these wheels and thought they were a mistake, but after a while, they are growing on me.

    I’m very much enjoying the new intro! It’s fresh, animated and fun! Not to mention it seems oddly reminiscent of an anime or 2...or was it a Saturday morning cartoon back in the mid 90’s? I can’t really put my finger on it but I’m thoroughly enjoying it. It truly feels like an episodic kind of series all of a sudden. Same Tiago time, same Tiago channel!

      @Fero1122 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChrLeiVoigt Hi, no problem. I have moved on to another sport in the meantime: surfskating, it's super cool and technical. As for your question, I think that if you have issues with the balance and heel support with smaller wheels, it's no sense to get bigger ones. Of course if you are fine with the smaller wheels, there is no big difference to go for 125 mm wheels, you would adapt quite easily. The 125 mm have lots of advantages and smoothing out bad terrain is a big one.
