I have been loading BB TSS for a few years, it actually performs best for me at 1300FPS at 1.75oz payload in 12g. @50 yards, it will blow directly through a deer and fold them in their tracks. TSS is superior!
It's hard to believe that a deer could be taken down with such tiny pellets. Also, since tungsten is a harder metal than steel, would the barrel be damaged?
These loads have full length wads which capture the pellets as they leave the barrel. That means no barrel to pellet contact. You do have to be careful with what size choke you use, but many duck and goose hunters use BB steal pellets and shoot thousands of rounds with them.
Salt creek has some T loads as well, which I have not tested. BB seems to be effective and up the pellet count a little as well. It’s probably more effective for pigs and coyotes, where as T might be a better option for deer. The BB still seems to have what it takes to bring down deer.
@@Leehealy-wheninthewoods no I haven't yet. I'll have to check it out. Ended up getting one box of T and 2 boxes of BB. Excited to try them out on some hogs.
@colinward7907 very nice! I’d love to see them work on some pigs. I wasn’t able to get a deer in range for them this year but i’ll be rolling them back out this year.
Salt Creek Ammunition makes amazing shells. I love everything I have gotten from them.
I’m looking forward to seeing how they penetrate!
I hand load TSS BB’s for the 28 ga. It’s amazing on deer! With BBs, you should have about 35 pellets per ounce- or 70 pellets for that load.
What distances are you taking deer with it? I just shot a penetration test yesterday I’m editing!
Totally awesome!!
Nice patterns
Thanks Lee!

What choke constriction do you use with your loads? Did you see my penetration test with these? I was blown away!
Nice vid

Would it be more effective to up the size of the pellet to T? Or is BB really the sweat spot

It would be good for home defense too
If you’re attacked by a home that’s using another home as cover, this is the load.
First
Thanks for watching! What do you think?
@@Leehealy-wheninthewoods I think that it's an excellent idea, just can't use them for deer here in NY.
@@leonardcavaretta905 it will make a devastating coyote load!
