what clays thrower is that?
@@RideAlongside Allen foot pedal
Do you have a sight pin mounted? What's the peep sight for?
It’s actually a clicker. Not a peep. It’s a useful tool to get consistent draw length.
Thank you so much! What do you do with the ribs and rest of the carcass you don’t want? Do you leave it in the woods for scavengers? Or do you burry it? Or do you compost it?
There’s a few ways to dispose of it or use it. Make sure you consult the laws in your state first before using the remains for other purposes.
Congrats on the new setup. As mentioned earlier, is stacking an issue with your choice of a 19" riser, long limbs at 45lbs with your long DL of 31"? Right now, I have the 21" riser, medium limbs but at 50lbs (WNS maple limbs) with my T-Rex 28" DL as my choice using DynaFlight 97 flemish twist at the moment. The bow sound is close at least on release it seems using the same pocket and limb velcro mods. I found/liked the whisker placement interesting. Good job, Enjoy
Yeah this set up doesn’t stack too much for my comfort. I think the key in stacking is not only riser length but limb quality. The longer riser had shorter limbs so I actually felt more stacking.
What did you do with the gland in the rear hams
I clean a lot of deer for a lot of people soo I also take care of my own deer save money
What would you recommend for the Stoegger Double defense over under with pic rails for optics and flashlight ? Thanks
Consistency is key
What sight are you running?
Hawke reflex
Great video, very informative!! I'm considering processing my own deer starting next season.
With that Walmart box this could be a Walmart commercial.😂 But also on a serious note thank you so much for breaking this down. 👌
If I can do it in the back of my truck, so can you! Hope it helps!
@Leehealy-wheninthewoods I got to ask you what's your favorite kind or brand of knife to use?
I use a lot of different ones. For butchering now, I love having an actual boning knife. For skinning and gutting in the woods I use either the custom made knife in this video, or a classic Buck 110.
@Leehealy-wheninthewoods thanks 🙏
Thank you for a helpful video.
I’m new to everything and wanna get into hunting and processing but was wondering if there are any glands to be cautious of when cutting into the meat?
Yes, usually encased in fat. But there are several to remove. If you follow the way I processed deer in this video they will be obvious.
Very simple and well put together. Thank you
@@stephenboren4207 thanks for watching!
I think we as hunters get so caught up and waiting for a TROPHY whitetail. Social media and commercial tv has ruined that for hunters. I’ve deleted social media. Actually switched to the longbow 3 years ago. My standards for deer has dropped tremendously
Have a extra blaze orange hat??
I don’t, but this one came from a Facebook group. Star City Whitetail.
I drew a late season fire arm tag here in IL so I get a last shot at some antlerless.
Nice job, end up getting one with the recurve?
Keep it up man
I do not like how the jacket separates from the led on the ELDX when you shoot game
Where do u put it to prevent other animals from eating it?
It goes on a hanger at the house. I raise it higher than most animals can get.
Did the broadhead go through the humerus to get into the vitals without deflection?
Yup! With a direct hit it did not deflect. With indirect hits on one blade the deflection was minimal.
GREAT video. Easy and direct.
Excellent video! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
What's the effective range on this shell
Amen
What did you use to sharpen that knife
I use a lansky jig sharpener.
Do most people do this in the feild? Or do they do it at home?
Depends on preference and accessibility to a freezer.
nice dead center shot on that tree did the same thing years ago,,thanks for sharing and keep at the traditional archery
Thanks for watching!
Great job, clearly explaained. I usually start from the other end . I shared your video with friends. Thanks and I am saving your video. Terry
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for not including music, nature is such a wonderful backdrop.
Where are you hunting? City and State? I'm in Texas and I want to get into hunting but its so hard to find people willing to take on an apprentice and show in the field how it is supposed to be done. Watching it online is one thing but Field dressing a white tail live and in color is totally different.
I hunt southwest Virginia area, but you’re right in person learning is best! If you find someone locally who can take you try to learn all you can and help out with the trips. Good hunting to you!
I always grind twice. Makes for much more tender burger
Looks good
Do you have a video on cutting the steaks from the large pieces?
@@gibbles2626lj I don’t, but I might at some point!
Do you get ALL the silver skin off the meat before you grind up the meat for burger?
Nope. Not all. Just most.
When you are zeroing, what are the clicks?
They differ by scope. But on this scope each click should be 1/4” adjustments at 100yd.
Pretty good video bruh. Thank you. 👍🏿
Thanks for watching!
I have a near identical setup. Those Carlson rifled chokes are no joke. They really tightened up my slug groupings. I live in a part of my state where we're only allowed slugs for deer. Also...Federal makes a reduced recoil slug (1300 fps) that I have been using for a few years now and it's a game changer. Not great out past 50 yards (neither are my eyes) so I only take shots 50 yards or closer. The older I get, the less fun it is to shoot full 3" slugs.
How long do you pressure cook it if you brown it ahead? I can see advantages to browning it first.
We just followed the directions that came with our pressure cooker. It is different for different elevations.
You still shooting the whip?
I’m not. I went to ilf satori.
I flatten my ground burger after sealing it in the vacuum bag. It packs better in the freezer and it thaws very quickly. Thanks for the video!
Now i actually found one whith Long draw like my self . I draw 31-32 How do u handle stacking ? How much lb limbs do u have and How much are they at full draw. Greetings frome europe
My limbs are Longs, 45lb at 28” draw. 50lb at my draw of 31”.
I like cutting out the vent even on a buck just makes it cleaner especially when it's got a full bladder.great vid going to share with a new hunter i had the privilege of hunting with this year, didn't get a chance to show him these important steps. Thanks again
Absolutely! The vent has to go. Thanks for watching!
