It might be coming off too strong for someone in their twenties to mention kids, but when a woman is 37 and there's a narrower window to try and have a kid (naturally, at least), I can understand why she wouldn't want to waste her time on successive dates if a potential partner didn't have the same goals as her... Whether we like it or not, some of this stuff has a time-limit!
