French rations are always my favorite! I look forward to seeing you try the 24 hour RCIR! Never worry about heating or not eating the ration. As an old soldier, I don’t care if it’s his heat or no heat. It’s much better when you heat the ration even though they’re good cold. And if anybody makes fun of you for heating it, don’t worry about it, I haven’t seen any French veterans on here giving you a hard time about it! 🤣 Great review I really enjoyed it! I hope you continue with the fun reviews and more military rations! Thank you Schlee!
you got it Allan, i don't intend to stop any time soon!!! SCHLEE FOREVER :)
Yes!!! I was hoping you got to try a French I have a few mine are starting to be out of date so I didn’t want to send you one with it possibly having something that has gone bad and it ruin your first experience with one awesome review you are killing it 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
i am getting SLIGHTLY braver with the expired food but still cautious 🤣
You have a very pleasant personality! Keep the reviews coming!
thank you for the very pleasant comment!!
Nice one Schlee! The French R.C.I.R.s ( 24 hour )have 2 main tinned components, 1 to be eaten hot and the other to be eaten cold. The R.I.E.s have the “cold” tin as their main and the R.I.E.R.s like you had have the “hot” tin as their main. That’s probably more confusing than helpful, but that’s what I do 🤪! I’m glad you liked it, can’t wait to see the rest reviewed. Cheers!
the rest will be coming up shortly! thanks again Joe!
You’re a awesome person @bourbonstjoeNOLA I’m so happy she got the opportunity to try this
@@SchleeSchleeanytime young lady, I’ll check and see if I can find more to send to you…😊
I have several of these RIERs with cassoulet as the main. These rations are cute as a button.
I’ll be hiking the Verdun battlefield in March and should try to find one of these for lunch one day. You gave it a great review and being able to play with the pudding will provide additional entertainment.
I’ll make sure to pack an MRE spoon - the mains don’t look like finger food.
That sounds like a fun adventure! I hope you have a blast out there! I know your history-loving heart will enjoy it 💛
@@SchleeSchlee When you say, “I hope you have a blast out there,” I’ll assume you meant it figuratively as the battlefield is littered with unexploded ordnance. 💥😵. 😀
I found it so funny when you said google translated the biscuits to ''country cookies''. ''Biscuits de campagne'' could be literally translated as such but ''de campagne'' is also used as in this case for ''field'' (the military way), so a better translation would be ''field biscuits''.
that makes way more sense! thank you!
Glad you got to try a French, their mains are some of the best.
this one was certainly impressive!
That’s what I was feeling when I saw the thumbnail I was like YESSSS 🤣
All these MREs intrusive me so I love watching you try them!
About to hit 1k subs...congrats!
idk how... not much of a personality, annoying voice and she refers to herself in the third person, and we ALL know how much every single last person loves that, everybody on the whole planet definitely doesn't hate people who refer to themselves in the third person.
@thomgizziz Then the real question is...why are you wasting your time here in the comment section of a video on her channel if you don't like the content?
You must have a very rich and fulfilling life to spend your time on a sub-1k content creator's MRE review channel talking shit.
But hey...at least you're doing the work to boost her engagement score with the algorithm 😆
thank you Buck!!!
That was definitely an interesting ration. I love seeing how other countries feed their troops…..
it is fascinating!
wait till you try a Spanish one because those are awesome! I love your MRE videos by the way. Its so nice seeing you so happy at the wonderful surprises in these food rations.
hopefully i can get my hands on a Spanish one soon! thank you for watching :)
I love cous cous when it’s cooked well!!
i'm not sure if this was cooked well, but it was tasty!
@@SchleeSchleeit has to be if they’re sending it to you, because cooked food lasts longer than raw; especially if it’s meat. I remember a few years are with family during the early parts of the pandemic were the fridgerators didn’t work for a few weeks to a month, and in order for us to eat without spoiling our food; we had to cook everything. Thankfully it was semi cool in there.
Now I want some French pate, too bad I don’t have the money.
The jelly coated in sugar is meant to be softer than that. It's not supposed to be hard, perhaps it has aged faster than the rest of the MRE, for some reason
Mont blanc is a high quality brand we can get in grocery stores too.
That looked like a really good ration. Nothing in there not to like. The French RCIR is incredible. Some of the menu choices are truly gourmet. Thanks again for the review.
i am definitely looking forward to getting more of these!
I go through phases of MRE youtube and you had me at a french MRE!
welcome back to the club!!
Once again another nice review.
I'm curious, what's the weight like compared to say an American MRE given the amount of canned products included in this one? Is it a noticeable difference?
the French ration is about 4oz heavier than a standard MRE. doesn't sound like much now but i'm sure i'd feel that weight if i had to carry it around all day!!
merci Schlee, les soldats français ont vraiment le vent en poupe.😁
Looks delicious! We need smell-o-vision!
Thanks. No accessory pack with seasonings, drinks etc? Just checked, it's a single meal mre.
In order to eat, a French soldier must borrow a spoon form an American soldier
this made me laugh out loud, thank you!
We use a tool named Tatoo, you have your fork, spoon, knife, can opener, and of course a wine bottle opener on it.
That's a tasty box! No pork so maybe made with our muslim and jewish soldiers in mind. Paste is definitely not the right word, I've found crystallised fruits. Maybe it's a better translation?
We have 12 menus, 8 with pork, 4 without for muslims or jews soldiers.
You already opened the box unpacked everything and ran it through a translator... then you are trying to pretend like you are opening it for the first time... it just makes you seem lame and terrible at acting.
Nothing gets by you, thomg
You did good…. It’s called editing so viewers don’t have to watch you translate everything. It’s good that you did that..
thanks Randy! :)
Qui a laisse le troll sortie de sa cage? Tres triste!
