Sea of Tranquility Listen to the UFO live album Strangers in the Night and hurry to put Michael Schenker on the list! Edit: I was toooooo fast commenting, sorry!
Yes, it was Dickie Betts on the phone. He wanted to remind Pete about "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and bitch about how he got screwed by Greg Allman for the millionth time.
BUCK DHARMA BOC Thanks for mentioning him. I was hoping you would. I grew up with boc concerts back in high school and he was always really really really amazing. They are one amazing. Band with the V guitar lineup in the guitar ✝ Really enjoy listening to your programs at is an awesome refreshing break from the news and all the stuff going on so nice to hear about anybody's taste in music rather than what's going on in the world today.
David Evans glad you said that! Ritchie is amazing but more so is that he may be the only guy you just can’t get sick of listening to. So creative and musical
5 guitarists that just take my breath away in no particular order: Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix, Danny Gatton, Paco de Lucia. All genius and astounding in their particular fields.
Paul Gilbert has become an absolute favorite of mine over the last decade. When he picks up a guitar he’s like a kid with a new toy. So much joy and emotion come from him and it gets me excited for what he plays. He has such passion for what he does.
Hey Pete, great list! Just love your ranking shows. Some grest music I discovered through you. The only guy I am missing on your list is Andy Latimer from Camel. Such an emotional player and so many beautiful solos.
When Paul Rodgers was interviewed one time, he was asked an interesting question. Given that he'd worked with so many great guitarists, (Paul Kossoff, Mick Ralphs, Jimmy Page...) who did he think was the best ? He said Paul Kossoff, hands down.
Awesome list Pete! I’ve got a Top 10 in which I grew up on. 1 - Ace Frehley (Nowhere near the best or technical but he is one of the most iconic. Been a huge fan since I was a kid) 2 - Eddie Van Halen 3 - Jimmy Page 4 - Eric Clapton 5 - Kirk Hammett 6 - Tony Iommi 7 - Angus Young 8 - Chuck Berry 9 - B B King 10 - Brian May
Michael Romeo! My favorite! Rick Emmett is SO underrated. Been seeing him live recently acoustically with another great guitarist. Totally blew my mind!

Yes, Rik Emmett is definitely one of the most underrated guitarist out there. Solo from "Rock and Roll Machine,"(1977) was way ahead of its time. Van Halen I,(1978). Plus his versatility as an accomplished acoustic guitarist catapults him above the rest. ex. "Blinding Light Show/ Moonchild," "Midsummer's Daydream."
exactly what i was thinking. he could go completely batshit crazy on guitar and it would still sound good. same way i feel about kurt cobain. some people just have a gift for making a mess sound beautiful.
Oh man!! When I listen to songs like Cortez the Killer, Down by the River, Cinnamon girl Etc…. Nobody else sounds like that. It sounds like Neil & his guitar are locked in an epic battle to the death……A beautiful battle to the death.
I'd like to mention Eric Gayles/Gary Hoey/Eric Clapton/Rich Williams/Walter Becker/Dave Mason/Dave Hlubek/Billy Jones/Dickey Betts/Brad Gillis/Vivian Campbell/Walter Trout/Gary Rossington/Allen Collins/Duane Roland/Vinnie Moore/Tommy Shaw/Pete Townsend/Derek Trucks/Duane Allman and Carlos Santana. Great List Pete. I love all your players too.
I love Angus, too! But I understand Pete didn't put him on his list because he mostly had his eye on if the guitarist is a great composer also. So that would even more be Malcolm instead. But Pete doesn't see AC/DC as a very much important band for the evolution of music, as I understand... And I see most guitarists here stand alone in their band without a second player doing the rhythm only. Perhaps Pete should do also a video about the greatest guitar playing pairs sometimes!
Great list! So glad you include Buck Dharma! I was getting scared you were going to leave out Tony Iommi. One of my faves as well. Probably I would have Zappa in the top 10.
Nice to see both Martin Barre and Alex Lifeson getting in on the list. Both usually are overlooked because there are so many amazing guitarists. And also because of the respective bands the two of them were in which featured some other amazing musicians/personalities.
Paul Wheeldon I watched a TH-cam video of Mark Knopfler showing different guitar styles recently. He is a jack of all trades and master of bloody all of them.

That list is almost perfect for my favorite and notably important guitar players. Good work Pete. I world have only included one more Stevie Ray Vaughan
I have just discovered your channel just this past week. Really glad this was recommended to me. Absolutely love the content, the topics, the rants and so on. Very knowledgeable and informative guests with great insight. Unfortunately I saw that a few bad apples emerged recently and caused some problems. You do this show the right way and it's incredibly fun and positive. I appreciate what you do and I have fallen down the rabbit hole watching a lot of your videos. Good stuff, Pete and I look forward to more of this outstanding content!
I hear you there man, Kerry King from Slayer said that Glenn Tipton is the most underrated guitarist of all time and it just pisses me off how he gets overlooked all the time. Maybe it is the twin guitar attack of Judas Priest as to why but he's still my favourite.
My list starts with Steve Howe, Jeff Baxter and Larry Carlton. I like all the guitar players. There are a lot of talented players that have a much to offer.
The guitar from Megalomania on Sabotage: Mind bending. The front part's slow but Iommi slays us with one of the greatest guitar riffs in the history of the world.
Pete, just want to tell you how we enjoy your show here in northern Sweden! A favourite guitarist to me is Anthony Phillips, Genesis first guitarist and also a solo artist.
@@KellenFredricksen Yeah. Ian Andreson drew so much attention as leader and face of the band it was easy not to focus on other members as individuals, but Barre was crazy good.
Here are a few of my favorites that didn’t get mentioned Jason Becker * Prince Steve Howe Stevie ray Orianthi John frusciante Mike McCready Andrew Watt
JIMMY PAGE-put simply, he is the tastiest player, so many genius, ear candy type riffs, his compositional skills and production wizardry in the studio is without peer! The combination of heaviness while never sacrificing melody......Jimmy Page's guitar playing is the sound of cool! Hey Jimmy, how's about picking up the axe again and making some NOISE!
Richard Thompson, a truly amazing guitarist in the folk rock genre. Jan Akkerman , amazing solos in Focus Robbie Robertson, great tones. Phil Manzanera Ed Kuepper, huge sound of The Saints and solo albums. Jonny Marr Bert Jansch (hugely influential in acoustic folk) Stephen Stills
Richard Thompson, definitely. I think Pete's list was primarily rock, blues and metal. If it was a wider list for all genres, I'd hope Richard Thompson would be in it.
Great list. Though I never heard of some of the guys you have in there I’m surprised you didn’t put Satch in there. Finally a list that doesn’t as usual default to Clapton, Page, and Beck in top 5 every time. Thank god.
Top ten for me quite easy. 1. Rory Gallagher 2. Ritchie Blackmore 3. Jimi Hendrix 4. Steve Morse 5. Steve Rotherey 6. Dave Gilmore 7. Jeff Beck 8. Brian May 9. Mark Knopfler 10. Gary Moore
I agree.. As a youngster I never understood hendrix.. Age has taught me the sublime feel of a man who changed guitar playing... Such a touch...a master of the soundless note... Pure beauty.. Bless u Jimi
Thought Duane Allman would have been around your top list Pete. His playing on Elizabeth Reed... It's some of the best guitar work ever heard. Skydog was taken well too soon.
Thanks for the list Pete. Gotta agree with Blackmore as number 1. He is the most important guitarist in hard rock history the link between Hendrix and Van Halen.
Some of my favorites that didn't make your list: Jerry Garcia, Santana, Pat Metheny, Eric Clapton, Andy Latimer, Roye Albrighton, Steve Rothery, Roy Buchanan, Michael Timmins, Larry Coryell, Terje Rypdal
Oh yeah. Coryell was sick. I saw him do a live solo acoustic show that just laid the place out. And love for Andy Latimer is never misplaced (which brings to mind the gifted Steve Hillage).
1) Jeff Carlisi 2) Jimi Hendrix 3) Steve Morse 4) Lee Ritenour 5) Gary Moore 6) Martin Barre 7) Tony Iommi 8) Alex Lifeson 9) Ritchie Blackmore 10) Michael Schenker 11) Brian May 12) Kerry Livgren 13) Rich Williams 14) Steve Rothery 15) Neal Schon 16) Joe Walsh 17) Angus Young 18) Steve Lukather 19) Eric Clapton 20) Todd Rundgren 21) Ace Frehley 22) Paul Quinn 23) Graham Oliver 24) K.K. @Omnipresent Spirit Yeah Ok haha. Once again you're entitled to your opinion but like a skunk's spray, IT STINKS. No Eddie Van Halen or Randy Rhoads on top??! Please bro you're clueless.
@Omnipresent Spirit WOW!!! LITERALLY....HAHAHA, OMG you need schooling my friend. I'm gonna tell you the 4 greatest guitarists of all time and listen and remember: For writing, technique, and most importantly A PIONEER AMD INNOVATORS. YOU READY?? IN ORDER: 1) JIMI HENDRIX 2) JIMMY PAGE 3) EDDIE VAN HALEN 4) RANDY RHOADS AND THEN THERE'S EVERYONE ELSE. BUCKEHEAD.🙄 AHHH HAHAHA..😅😂🤣 YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET THAT BELIEVES THAT.
Hi, Pete. Love your channel. Glad you put Tony Iommi high on the list. I would have included Chuck Berry and Jerry Garcia. Glenn Tipton comes to mind as well. Keep up the good work!!
5 - "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot (Pantera) 4 - Randy Rhoads 3 - Stevie Ray Vaughan 2 - Jimi Hendrix 1 - Eddie Van Halen * You put alot of rock legends at the bottom of your list
Pretty good list with a few I haven't heard of. The only ones I would add to the list are Clapton, Peter Green and Mike Campbell. I could have a separate list for my top pickers like Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, Carl Perkins, Mark Knopfler.
That was a great list! Of course, any best guitarist list is totally subjective and varies according to personal taste. For me, everyone who knows me knows that my favorite guitarist is Jerry Garcia, hands down. But, as a guitarist, over the past few years there are 3 players who have had my attention and totally influenced my approach to the instrument: Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, and Peter Green. They continue to expand my horizons exponentially, showing me possiblities I hadn't even imagined.
Three of my favorites that didn't make your list would be: John Fogerty, another riff master Mick Ronson, especially as a Spider from Mars Joey Santiago of the Pixies
11:25 - Thanks for mentioning Warren and Gov't Mule. DIG IT! My own personal shoutout for Ty Tabor of King's X. Totally unique sound, excellent musicianship, 3-part vocal harmonies, and a live show that remains in my own top 3. I've seen a shitload of shitty concerts delivered by bands that were way more successful (and NOT deserving it). Not sure why King's X didn't go huge? No matter-I own everything they've released.
1. Carlos Santana 2. Gary Moore 3. Richie Blackmore 4. Tonny Iomi 5. Jimmy Hendrix 6.Uli Jon Roth 7. Michael Shankar 8.Jimmy Page 9. Joe Satriany 10. Yngwie Malmsteen. 11. Steve Vai 12. Mark Knopflar 13. Dave Gilmour 14 . Angus Young 15 . Vivian Campbell 16 . Dave Murray 17 . Frank Zappa 18. Van Halen 19. Slash 20. Matthias Jabs.
No particular order.. Elliott Easton Tommy Shaw David Gilmour Sammy Hagar Brian May Steve Howe Myles Goodwin Johnny Marr Alex Lifeson Buck Dharma Jimi Hendrix Steve Vai Mark Knopfler Ace Frehley Pete Townshend
My top Guitar players: (All Formats) Gary Moore Chris Rea David Gilmour Lita Ford Nancy Wilson (💝) George Kooysman (Golden Earring) Stevie Ray Vaughan Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) Andy Scott (Sweet) Michael Schenker Johnny Cash Waylon Jennings Brian May (Queen) Joan Armatrading Donald Roeser (BÖC) Eric Bloom (BÖC) Henry Paul (Blackhawk / Outlaws) Hughie Thomasson (Outlaws / Skynyrd) Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd) Allen Collins (Lynyrd Skynyrd) Rickey Medlocke (Blackfoot / Skynyrd) B.B. King Albert Collins Johnny Winter Terry Kath (Chicago) Too name a few. *Note: Haven't even started.*
Cool that Martin Barre got in! A couple I feel deserve to be on this list: 1. Mark Knopfler (Pete probably just forgot) 2. Steve Stevens 3. Mick Ronson 4. Dimebag 5. Johnny Marr
I like your list. My top ten favorits are: 1. Jimi Hendrix(predictable? hell yeah) 2. Alvin Lee 2. Tony Iommi 2. Leslie West 2. Rory Gallagher 2. Jeff Beck 2. John McLaughlin 2. Robin Trower 2. Ritchie Blackmore 2. Peter Green
My top three haven’t changed in 30 years, sometimes 2 and 3 might be switched but it’s always been the same three guys with no1 unmoved. #1 Brian May #2 Dave Gilmour #3 Richie Blackmore The rest of the top ten would be. Schenker, Knopfler, Gallagher, Koss, Dave Murray, Slash, Guthrie Govan.
Pete!!!! Having a blast still!!! Keep the vids coming!!! Heres the guys that I really like: 1. Scott Gorham 2. John Sykes 3. Tony Iommi 4. Michael Schenker 5. Yngwie Malmsteen 6. Eric Bell 7. I can't believe, no I really can't believe, I'm tellin' you I just can't freakin believe there's no mention of the great Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme...I've never seen a guy with more ability
@@seaoftranquilityprog Of course, I totally agree. My comment was more a statement of surprise that no other commenter had mentioned him. Very entertaining video though 👍
Top Guitarists ( lead and rhythm) 1. Alex Lifeson 2. Eddie Van Halen 3. Criss Oliva 4. Jim Matheos 5. Piggy ( Voivod ) 6. David Gilmour 7. Steve Gaines 8. Rick Emmit 9. Elliot Easton 10. Martin Barre
Billy Gibbons playing on Deguello is sublime. Frank Zappa's playing style is unique. David Gilmour Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Allan Holdsworth Steve Hackett.
Wow, Jimmy Page sure clocked in early on the list. Who matched him for unforgettable riffs and alternate tunings? Here's a forgotten player: Craig Chaquico of Jefferson Starship. Ride the Tiger: th-cam.com/video/QOtSBDkm_BI/w-d-xo.html
Well Pete said from 45 to about 16 were in no particular order but he was more specific about his top 15, or top 10. Yeah Jimmy Page would be in most peoples' top 10 or even top 5, many have him no.1. I think Iommi and Blackmore were his equals for classic riffs (Iommi of the three has the edge for me in riffs) but you made a great point about alternate tunings, not many others can match that. For me Jimmy's live playing on all those 70s Zeppelin videos was really natural and brilliant.
There are so many brilliant guitarists but the one that's closest to my heart is Ace Frehley. And yes, he's not the fastest player or technically the best in the business but there's something about him...I can't explain what it is but he's my number one
Steve Howe, Mark Knopfler, Larry Carlton, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Phil Keaggy, Dicky Betts, Leo Kottke, Joe Satriani, Eddie V, Michael Hedges, David Brainbridge, Terry Kath, Stevie Ray, Jimmy Page, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Hendrix, John Petrucci
Someone is calling to tell you that you forgot someone.
LOL! Good one.
Someone from You Tube HQ, wants to know why Joe Bonamassa didn't get mentioned (it might mess up the algorithm) 🤪
John Umek. Yes. He forgot one. The Worlds best guitar player of all time, this guitar player's name is Mark Knopfler.

Ritchie Blackmore. He just has everything.

He’s got a-everything ! *paw paw paw pas*
He made me discover and love Deep Purple. Still do. 💜
That is Del Strangefish
My favourites...
Rory Gallagher, Tommy Bolin, John McLaughlin, Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi
Finally.....Tommy Bolin is mentioned.. Absolutely one of the best, all by the time he was 25.
McLaughlin (best), Petrucci, Beck, Hendrix, Govan, Johnson, Page, Iomi , Fripp, Angus Young (best fun guitarist) and many more. Love the guitar.
Tommy Bolin is underrated.
I love that you include Terry Kath!!!

he may not top any lists but my favourite is Alex Lifeson
@Walter Sobchak
Definitely,Alex Lifeson.
Alex Lifeson is amazing.
What do you think of Tony Mcphee ?
With that i concur:))
Walter: That's a good point. Peart and Lee get more plaudits than Lifeson. More competition with guitarists, probably.
Great call with Richie Blackmore! Never get tired of listening to him.
David Evans glad you said that! Ritchie is amazing but more so is that he may be the only guy you just can’t get sick of listening to. So creative and musical
Always great to hear Criss' name. He's in my top 5. With Vai, Zappa, Di Meola & Lukather.
I love that you put the late, great Gary Moore in among your top five. His version of "Shapes Of Things" is simply killer.
That Version of Shape of things is killer.......

Johnny Marr. Just saw him a few months ago. One of the best for me; he plays aroud it. Just great .

Rik Emmett (Rock & Roll Machine solo @ the US Festival) ; The riff master Steve Clark( The instrumental 625)

Pete, just want to tell you how we enjoy your show here in northern Sweden! A favourite guitarist to me is Anthony Phillips, Genesis first guitarist and also a solo artist.
Cool to here Martin Barre in there.
Underrated
@@KellenFredricksen Yeah. Ian Andreson drew so much attention as leader and face of the band it was easy not to focus on other members as individuals, but Barre was crazy good.
Here are a few of my favorites that didn’t get mentioned
Jason Becker *
Prince
Steve Howe
Stevie ray
Orianthi
John frusciante
Mike McCready
Andrew Watt
JIMMY PAGE-put simply, he is the tastiest player, so many genius, ear candy type riffs, his compositional skills and production wizardry in the studio is without peer! The combination of heaviness while never sacrificing melody......Jimmy Page's guitar playing is the sound of cool! Hey Jimmy, how's about picking up the axe again and making some NOISE!
Richard Thompson, a truly amazing guitarist in the folk rock genre.
Jan Akkerman , amazing solos in Focus
Robbie Robertson, great tones.
Phil Manzanera
Ed Kuepper, huge sound of The Saints and solo albums.
Jonny Marr
Bert Jansch (hugely influential in acoustic folk)
Stephen Stills
Richard Thompson, definitely. I think Pete's list was primarily rock, blues and metal. If it was a wider list for all genres, I'd hope Richard Thompson would be in it.
Thumb up for Johnny Marr.
Great list. Though I never heard of some of the guys you have in there I’m surprised you didn’t put Satch in there. Finally a list that doesn’t as usual default to Clapton, Page, and Beck in top 5 every time. Thank god.
Agree with Clapton and Page but Beck is ridiculously good, saw him live for the first time last year and was flabbergasted by his playing.
Ian Gillard Yes Beck is amazing. Just felt that he didn’t rock hard enough. I’m not a metal head but I do like it in overdrive sometimes 😎
Top ten for me quite easy.
1. Rory Gallagher
2. Ritchie Blackmore
3. Jimi Hendrix
4. Steve Morse
5. Steve Rotherey
6. Dave Gilmore
7. Jeff Beck
8. Brian May
9. Mark Knopfler
10. Gary Moore
1. jimmy page
2. hendrix
3. iommi
4. blackmore
Agreed! I would add David Gilmour to round out the top 5.
HOW CAN ANYBODY BEAT HENDRIX??
Add Michael Schenker and you're right on.
I agree.. As a youngster I never understood hendrix.. Age has taught me the sublime feel of a man who changed guitar playing... Such a touch...a master of the soundless note... Pure beauty.. Bless u Jimi
John Rumsby He blows. If he were white, he'd be unknown.
Thought Duane Allman would have been around your top list Pete.
His playing on Elizabeth Reed... It's some of the best guitar work ever heard. Skydog was taken well too soon.
Uli's gonna be at Daryl's House, May 21
@@vbassone tickets are quite reasonable too ... www.darylshouseclub.com/shows
Frank Marino! Most underrated of all time!
Any of his albums that you would recommend.
@@tonypeake467 start with Juggernaut
@@tonypeake467 Whats Next or Power of Rock and Roll, really any of his discography...absolutely incredible guitarist
Good list, I like that you put Frank Marino in your list, he's so often overlooked. I got the dvd set he just put out, I strongly recommend it
New DVD from Frank Marino is excellent! So much class...
frank marino may be the VERY best
'From The Hip' is a great album!
Yippieee! All the time I was waiting to see if you were going to mention Blackmore and then you put him right on the top! That made my day! Cheers.
Looked through quite a few comments, and avoiding overlap, I have Kerry Livgren, Mick Ralphs, Nels Cline, and Matt Bellamy are worth a mention.
Thanks for the list Pete. Gotta agree with Blackmore as number 1. He is the most important guitarist in hard rock history the link between Hendrix and Van Halen.
@@chrischoir3594
BLACKMORE a One trick poney??? You're insane!!!
Page was sloppy....overrated.
Some of my favorites that didn't make your list:
Jerry Garcia, Santana, Pat Metheny, Eric Clapton, Andy Latimer, Roye Albrighton, Steve Rothery, Roy Buchanan, Michael Timmins, Larry Coryell, Terje Rypdal
Garcia could tell a story through a solo. He wasn't technically perfect, but nobody even comes close in my opinion.
Steve Rothery never gets the credit he deserves.
Oh yeah. Coryell was sick. I saw him do a live solo acoustic show that just laid the place out. And love for Andy Latimer is never misplaced (which brings to mind the gifted Steve Hillage).

@Omnipresent Spirit yeh Buddy Guy all day 👍👍
@Omnipresent Spirit Add Steve Hackett also. Weird to have Andy Latimer on there but not Steve Hackett(and Steve Howe too for that matter).
Where's Jimmy Page???!!! That's why it's an opinion and your list is a lot of opinion.

1) JIMI HENDRIX
2) JIMMY PAGE
3) EDDIE VAN HALEN

YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET THAT BELIEVES THAT.
For me 1) David Gilmour 2) everyone else
I agree and even commented the same.
Hi, Pete. Love your channel. Glad you put Tony Iommi high on the list. I would have included Chuck Berry and Jerry Garcia. Glenn Tipton comes to mind as well. Keep up the good work!!
I'm a Steve Howe guy, but surprised to not see Satriani at all. Great list no matter.
5 - "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot (Pantera)
4 - Randy Rhoads
3 - Stevie Ray Vaughan
2 - Jimi Hendrix
1 - Eddie Van Halen
* You put alot of rock legends at the bottom of your list
Pretty good list with a few I haven't heard of. The only ones I would add to the list are Clapton, Peter Green and Mike Campbell. I could have a separate list for my top pickers like Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, Carl Perkins, Mark Knopfler.
Don't forget Glen Campbell
@@georgewagner2352 Or Albert Lee, Tony Rice, Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins
That was a great list! Of course, any best guitarist list is totally subjective and varies according to personal taste. For me, everyone who knows me knows that my favorite guitarist is Jerry Garcia, hands down. But, as a guitarist, over the past few years there are 3 players who have had my attention and totally influenced my approach to the instrument: Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, and Peter Green. They continue to expand my horizons exponentially, showing me possiblities I hadn't even imagined.
great cking show.So fun to watch.
Three of my favorites that didn't make your list would be:
John Fogerty, another riff master
Mick Ronson, especially as a Spider from Mars
Joey Santiago of the Pixies
Mick Ronson had great tone.
A few missing and a few I'd never heard of. Not sure how Pete finds the time to listen to all these guys! Keep on rocking guys!
Great list, thanks.
Probably unpopular opinion, but my #1 is Dimebag Darrell.
Bill Nelson of Be-Boo Deluxe.

1. Mark Knopfler (Pete probably just forgot)

Great list, shocked SRV is not on the list. Dude's a Legend.
I noticed that too - also Mark Knopfler
@@reallymysterious4393 I was going to mention MK as well, but just left it at SRV. By the way MK is my number 2 and Jeff Beck is my number 1.
I've gotta fit Duane Allman and Steve Howe into the mix.
Skydog a top 5 for sure!
Steve Howe was on the list

3. Criss Oliva
4. Jim Matheos
5. Piggy ( Voivod )

10. Martin Barre
Neil Young never gets the respect he deserves
Two of his songs should put him in the top 5 and into the RRHOF...Cortez and Powderfinger...some of the greatest licks ever recorded...
Neil young sucks
Danielle U - Neil Young...the king of the one note guitar solo!
Gotta say... Bad technique but I love the energy and raw take. Fantastic.
@@birthabutt9555 Exacly. I wasn't talking about technique.
Johnny Pairoux What it was about Ace that you can't explain is called "Great Tone". Les Paul through Marshall amps, you can't go wrong
Steve Howe, Mark Knopfler, Larry Carlton, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Phil Keaggy, Dicky Betts, Leo Kottke, Joe Satriani, Eddie V, Michael Hedges, David Brainbridge, Terry Kath, Stevie Ray, Jimmy Page, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Hendrix, John Petrucci
EXCELLENT LIST !!!
