What is backpacking in JAMAICA like? | Jamaica Travel Vlog

On a rainy day, I had trouble getting a taxi in Kingston to pick me up and drive me to the Knutsford Express bus station in New Kingston, Jamaica. So I had to speed walk for almost half an hour from my Airbnb to the station, only to get there a half-hour early anyway. In this video, I cut together some footage of what going by bus from Kingston up through the Blue Mountains on the A3 to the parish of Portland, Jamaica. This route turned out to be one of the sketchiest bus rides of my life, as the road hardly fits two cars in some spots, let alone a car AND a bus. There were plenty of puckering moments as we had to stop to let cars attempt to get past us.
After getting through we stopped in a small town called Anotto Bay on the north coast of Jamaica for a quick bathroom break, and a random urinal with a nice view of the ocean. We continue from there to Port Antonio where I saw perhaps the biggest yacht of my life and encounter a friendly tout who follows me for a while.
From there I embark to my guest house and explain how to use the route taxis that are a common means of getting around throughout the island. Also in this video, I talk a lot about prices you can sort of expect for various things like food, transportation, and lodging.
All in all, I was sort of proud with how this one turned out and will be posting and linking to Pt. 2 after this one is finished so be sure to check that one out as well to see more of the prices you can expect when it comes to excursions to places like waterfalls in Jamaica and tourist hot spots like the Blue Lagoon!
