Hi Harry just saw your story on Gabriel Traveler's channel. I was in Kaohsiung in 2018, not a bad city. Worst places to be stuck in than Taiwan right now. Will be following your adventures, cheers.

The labor cost and rent are a lot more expensive in the US than in Taiwan, hence the boba tea is a lot cheaper in Taiwan than in the U.S. of A!

Thanks for the insight! In Seattle, a boba tea would set me back more than 5$usd(150ntd)... So it's nice being able to drink at least one a day here and not break the bank!

I think the temple was built first, and the houses built around it.

The big round thing with stands are probably used in funerals.

Working on getting these numbers up, it's a whole new world for me. Gabe's exposure really helped though. Thanks for the support! Stay tuned!

That huge temple at the end is for the local land god, sort of like the mayor of local city. He is supposed to regulate human:s and ghost's affairs in this local area (usually a city)....keep the justice and so on. Usually, the heavenly emperor would choose a local good man to do the job. These gods are like officials in the heavenly government.
