Ang arte arte niya that time, and in a good way :) Nung late 80s to early 90s, medyo baduy na awkward promdi singer sya, tapos sa mid 90's eh cute girl next door, tapos 2004 onwards Reyna-reynahan levels na. Ngayon, feel mo na she has fully embraced her mentor role and ready na sya to pass the proverbial torch to the younger singers.
I agree with Regine V. The time that Regines voice had started to change, it was the time when she almost have her baby boy. She also rest or tired to sing maybe because she had been giving a lot of attention in taking care of her baby Nathan. And that’s why her voice was change. But right now she has been practicing again, and we can see that there has been improvement even though it’s not 100% the same as what she was before.
Nothing to brag and prove or whatsoever because for 30yrs in the industry (for RVA) is more than enough as proof of how legendary and iconic she is in the industry. It is true, the voice quality changes but you still sing and that alone is a good sign that you really are passionate of your craft. As we age, our system also changes. One good example that she mentioned is Madame Pilita Corales, she is now on her glorious days and the voice is far different when she was younger but she still sings with passion, same goes to Mr. Tony Bennet. Remember, change is the only constant thing in this world. I love them both since SOP dayy and that's way back in the late 90's.. grade 4 yata ako nun!!! I used to sing songs of RVA and Lani when I was younger and I can pitch perfect their songs, I also used to hit Whistle notes but as I transition into teenage years, my voice became deeper however I can still sing and hit high notes only to discover that I can sing in falsetto. I have abused my gift in singing, I now experience AR and can't hit high notes (their timber) or even sing in falsetto, but I have to change mys singing style. cheret lang ng may ma-i-share naman hahaha
