Years ago I watched a show about Coast guard rescues. In one episode they were up in Alaska and headed to a boat that had crashed up on some rocks and needed to rescue the crew before she went down. One of the pilots commented that they use satellites to find true north now because true north is no longer true north. It's drifting south and that is backed up by the fact that at times in the Midwest we're told to look for Borealis lights.
We need the fresh water for the sea life. The Penguins will adapt as long as they can survive the whales. This is the beginning of the change at least to us.
