So true. Sims 1 was on another level. The screaming and crying from the sims was pretty realistic and unsettling at times. The music was also terrifying. The burglar music/missed work calls always scared the crap out of me as a child. Even now it still creeps me out lmao.
The concept of fire was extremely important to get right in The Sims 1. Will Wright (The creator of The Sims) even came up with the concept of the game after a real life fire burned down his house and all of his belongings in the early 90s. That long journey to build a new house and buy new belongings was an inspiration for him as a young creative maker of games at the time and here we are now, 23 years after The Sims first came out, still taking care of our Sims and building houses to this day. It's kinda poetic in a way. 🙂
That’s basically their reaction to anything, their mom dies “😅 😂😂😂😁✌️👍👍» the only thing the emotion changes is how they look when they do idle animations
Will Wright had the origin story of his house burning down, so it makes sense that the fires spread so easily and were hard to get rid of in The Sims 1. Still, my 4 year old self never truly recovered from the blood-curdling screams of burning Sims.
Fire is so relentless in the sims 1 that you can burn more than 20 sims on your lot by setting the whole lot on fire without any survivors by covering your entire lot with rugs.
Fun fact from TS3: Sims can also start a fire when they eat spicy food, they will release a fire breath if the food is too much spicy and there's a slightly chance it will catch things on fire(that's crazy but it's actually something that happened on my game)
The Sims 3 matches your character's personality and mannerism 100%. On top of that, Sims 3 is so dramatic lol. That faint from the fire. 😅 The Sims music is amazing! Wish they would've kept that similar horror music to when disasters happen or when the robber arrives.
Grim reaper just shaking his head in sims 2 is funny as hell. He's like: "Oh come on mate, you went out in the worst way possible" Also anyone else getting the need to blow random stuff up around the sims town lol
In the first "The Sims" game, I love how if you have a smoke detector, it starts beeping the very instant a fire breaks out. It then also makes it funny how Sims react to the fire by just standing there and freaking out, instead of evacuating like they're supposed to.
@@keit99Same thing happened with me, I also started a fire once after eating spicy food, there's an animation that plays with fire coming out of your Sim's mouth which can actually start a fire.
The thing i like in TS4 is that if the sims have infants, and a fire start, they pick them up and immediatly run to get outside , i think it works also with toddlers
Don’t forget sims in 2 can study fire safety. It’s one book and one skill point and once filled they no longer panic in case of a fire and can immediately extinguish it without being commanded to
Addition: in Sims 3 Pets your sim can catch on fire by jumping through the fire ring obstacle on a horse. Always keep a shower on the training grounds, guys 😅
That music from the Sims 1 use to to scare the hell out of me as a kid. That's how you use to know a traumatic incident was going to happen in that game.
I will never forget that one time, in the Sims 2, where a sudden rain started in the middle of my pool party and lightning hit a tree and the top of it caught on fire and no one reacted. I'm not sure if it was a bug or something, but all the guests would walk by the tree while looking directly at the fire.... And not react at all. Eventually I called the firemen, the fireman jumped out of his truck and WALKED PAST THE BURNING TREE, entering the house. Then he gave me a fine for "pulling a prank". The top of the tree kept burning until I left the game
In Sims 1 when the Genie fails the spell, it can also set in fire some of the most valuable object in the house :') I had no idea you can detonate objects in Sims 3! And when I've played Sims 4 couple years ago, I remember I've tried to set a fire on purpose and I swear it was impossible. But it was back then there was no firefighters yet ;D
I'd like to argue that in Sims 4 by just USING a damn dryer you ignite. Multiple times, checking the lint thing constantly, all clean -- fwoosh~ so many of my sims lost because they wanted dry clothes. 😭
Oh memories. We were fascinated how the game let us push things in Sims 1, esp making our uncle laugh at the sheer irreverence of lighting fireworks indoors
Sims 1 fire is much like being burned in real life, a matter of seconds until death. Sims 3 & 4 is just silly goofy dance for an hour. Also no mention of the sexy dance Sims 4 firefighters sometimes do when successfully extinguishing the fire?
A few important things in Sims 4 were missed. The Spellcaster Inferniate spell can also start fires. Used directly on a Sim, this is never lethal, but can be when used to ignite the ground and furniture. A spell backfiring, like Copypasto or Repairio, may ignite the object it's being used on. Chillio can be used to extinguish fires. Also, some building materials react differently to fire. Wood floors and wallpaper can burn fairly easily, but tile and stone are fireproof. Additionally, if they have the Naturalist Reward Trait from the Freelance Botanist Aspiration, your Sim becomes fireproof and is more easily able to extinguish fires. The same effect as the firefighter costume, but permanent.
I remember back in 2008, i was only 5 at the time my sister had sims 1 and 2 and whenever a fire goes off in sims 1 and i hear this sound 0:51 I get scared. after 16 years I'm still traumatized till this day🤣🤣
Even without watching the video I know without a doubt Fire in the Sims 1 is the unrivaled winner. Even if you have only ever seen footage of a fire in the Sims 1 never played through one for yourself you just know it is the winner on this feature.
I created the Aftons in The Sims 3. William would often catch on fire because he’d use the inventing table for too long. I also created my irl family in The Sims 3. My mom tried to light a firework in the garden and it failed. Thankfully she was quick to extinguish it. You should’ve seen the crowd that came to watch. Alastor and Husk from Hazbin Hotel, Millie, Moxxie, Blitzo and Stolas from Helluva Boss, Osana, Ayano and Oka from Yandere Simulator and a couple of townies. It turned to be a good thing tho because I was struggling with finding some of the guests I planned to invite to my sim’s wedding. 😅😅😅😅😅 Another way to start a fire in The Sims 3 is to fail the “You Are Special” Sing-a-Gram. I lost a sim to that because there was no way for her to extinguish herself after failing that Sing-a-Gram and catching on fire. One of the mansions in The Sims 4 Willow Creek always pissed me off because my sims would light the fireplace and the damn carpet would always catch on fire. So after the 7th carpet burned, I stopped replacing the carpet. 😅😅😅😅😅
In the Sims 2 a Christmas tree can also cause fire if you leave it turned on for a while, this happened in my game before 😅 this is a very annoying detail.. and why the hell did the devs had to add it, I mean, there aren't any candles on those trees
More Sims fire facts: Sims 2 - Ghosts haunting your lot may set spontaneous fires out of spite (unsure about other games) Sims 3 - Fires can spread upstairs but not from room to room. UNLESS the fire goes through the door. It will only burn objects… and floors lol Sims 3 - Pets and infants will literally teleport outside when there is a fire. WITH the teleportation graphic, like they are suddenly magical. Wild stuff. Sims 2 - If a sims is out in the sun too long, they have a tiny tiny chance of spontaneously combusting into flames 😀 Sims 3 - Butlers will also call the fire department for you. But not maids. They don’t get paid enough.
I don't think I've had my sims 4 sims point and laugh yet after a fire, but I imagine they very well might. No matter which version of the sims you play, fire will continue to be the main source of concern, especially early game when your sim doesn't know how to turn off a friggin' stove.
0:20 To clarify, the stove's quality has nothing to do with the risk of fire. Having less than three Cooking will carry a risk of fire when using an oven.
Tintaverse, can you do a video regarding the behavior comparisons between all 4 Sims game when it comes to emergency situations? For example, what sims do, how they rescue any children or pets, etc.
In Sims 4: You can start a fire if you light a campfire near a flammable object or wood Me: Okay, that's realistic You light an incense on a wooden object Me: What? By an incense? And if you don't clean the dryer, and if you eat spicy, and if you find an angry ghost, and if you play DJ for too long, and if a dust bunny gets mad, and... Me: Okay, wait, wait, wait-
I once got a fire in 4 with one of the incenses from Spa Day, whoops. Pierce Brosnan Sim *cooks and starts a fire* Daniel Craig Sim:Who let Pierce cook?!?!
Doing reapers rewards a fire started during a guys birthday party becuase my sim tried to repair a fridge, he said something about a bad party - yeah talk about it my house caught on fire
Sims 1 & 2 for me is a tie, even though Sims 1 was the hardest Sims that I’ve played but the screams when there’s a fire was traumatizing. Sims 2 reminds me of my everyday life cooking at home, I almost burned the house and one of the reasons why I don’t cook very often so instead I call for a food delivery. Whoever voiced that The Sims 1 screams... Congrats, it etched into my memory, even to this day.
Omg it’s tragic 😂
Sims 1 fire is iconic
Its the angry sign before cooking , then mass hysteria breaks out
It was Gerri Lawlor's voice
Yeah then I hear or see the word fire, those sims 1 sounds enter my brain immediately
The scream from Sims 1 is the most traumatizing 😂

Makes me wonder why they're like "uuhhh, ummm, uhhh, ehhh" somewhere in-between 🤣
The Sims 4 firefighters sometimes do a sexy dance before they leave.
They are so useless 😪
@@srobertson1217 in Sims 3 a firefighter once interrupted extinguishing the fires to pee himself. That's an alternative way to put it out, I guess
Yeah and the sims 4 looks so crazy and boring at the same time now😭
mine did push-ups before even trying to help
Sometimes they dance before extinguish the fire, idk if it's a ritual or what but I don't think it works
Staircases in The Sims 1 can catch on fire, and even spread to the second floor of houses!! Wild detail
Wow thats incredible. I never tried this in sims 2 or 3, does anyone know if this is also the case?
The concept of fire was extremely important to get right in The Sims 1.

too bad EA is doing everything they possibly can to ruin Will Wright's legacy. SimCity is completely dead, and Sims 4... uh...
sims 4 sims after a fire : 👏👏😁👉

The Sims 1 are so creepy. Suzan scream is most terrifying thing I've ever heard
Bombs in the sims 3 was wild 🤣
13:59 unbothered queen. Not even a space shuttle crashing down beside her is going to ruin her walk.
Sims 1 is the best simply because of the sheer terror and trama it inflicts

Sims in the Sims 4 can extinguish themselves when they burn by clicking on them and having them extinguish themselves with a fire extinguisher

Yes! It's closes to what I have imagined her to be. Her personality shines in The Sims 3 ❤️
Sims going up in flames if they divide by 0 is such a fun detail

Actually the quality of Stove dont matter, it could be the 13,000 stove and theyll still start fires with no cooking skill
