Starring 11 sounds great to me. Roberts is a freshened up version of Luke Ayling the way he even ends up in the right opposition box. Helps James too link up wise.
Great selections, Max. Agree with you on most. Personally I’d love Pascal to come back in to partner Rodon, but I don’t know if he’s even back in training yet. Ampadu is great at both CB & midfield - but I think I prefer him in midfield. I’d like Gray in MF too, with Roberts at RB. And yeah, let’s hope Cree can start scoring again.
I think James has been fabulous this season but Gnonto has done well recently it must be great to have so many options up front.
I agree with your starting 11 Max, it is a good strong team, Archie is better in midfield so its good that we can have Roberts at RB. It is also good that we have some strength in depth on the bench.

I agree with everything you've said except Summerville. Defences have recently managed to keep him very quiet in forward positions by covering the 'cut inside and curl it round the keeper' move that he seems to almost rely on. We know and he knows he's quick and tricky but he needs to use this and the attention he gets to unlock space for other players. I think I'd like to see Gnonto start on the left right now - less selfish - which might give Cree the nudge he needs to vary his game a little and get back in the starting 11.
The opposition are spending so much time covering Summerville it's leaving space for others ...
Gnonto and archie work well together as well
Firpo being left footed means he doesn't have to cut in when crossing the ball. Ampudu and Rodon have had an awesome partnership, but Struijk back in the fold allows Ampudu to do what he does best in midfield and would also complement Kamara more than Gruev does
Definitely puts us in a better position squad wise having Struijk back its just that ampadu and rodon partnership has been amazing of late!
@@LeedsLately it certainly has, it's a fine balance between the midfield and defence. Right now the 2 Welsh wizards have the best stats. I would not change things immediately but if for example Gruev or Kamara's form drops perhaps that will be the time to bring Struijk back that plus his ability to bring the ball out from defence and his ability at defending set pieces or as an asset in our own set pieces
I like Georgi at RW. He can easily slide centrally (leaving room for Roberts) or dangle on the touchline. Archie to the 10 gives more defensive strength without sacrificing a deft throughball. Also allows any combo of Gruev, Kamara, Ampadu in the holding positions.
For fullbacks, Roberts + Byram (a) Firpo (b). LCB: (a) Struijk (b) Ampadu RCB: Rodon, Cresswell (b)
Striker: Bamford for 60 minutes, then Joseph. Bamford does well starting, has not been great off of the bench.
This setup leaves us with a stronger bench. Gnonto and James come on in winger roles and players can slide based on the shape of the game. Effectively a free roam off the wing for Georgi.
Strange, I literally argued on Facebook before watching this video, the point of moving Ampadu back to midfield alongside Gray after easing Struijk back in, and I gave the exact reasons you did for dropping Kamara. He's a good player, but is the weakest link bar Firpo. He avoids shooting or making any complex passes and so can be very easy to play against sometimes and in games where Rutter and Summerville etc are not getting results, someone like Gray is far better utilised in that position than Kamara.
Funny cos I was thinking about this last night and came up with the exact same team! Feel bad leaving Pascal out, but you just can't break up the Dragon's dynamic defensive duo and I do want to see Connor in the team as I think his natural RB experience will be invaluable. Feel sorry about dropping Glen, but I think a bit more flair over functionality could be crucial in the run-in, which Archie can provide by working his progressive magic in midfield and hopefully scoring again. Agree about leaving in Paddy - he's on a roll and long may it continue!! (never thought I'd say that after Stoke away🤣) Keep up the good work Max! ALAW 💙💛💙 MOT

disagree on firpo call byram can come late on to shore up the game but firpo makes mistakes but gets away with them because of the quality of opposition and i hate square pegs round holes we are rarely off the ball so firpo does not have to defend for most champ games and when were on the ball he has more assist than any of our other fullbacks thats mainly down to the fact he is a natural lb and can whip the ball with his left which is most of his assists rather than byram who has to switch plus when we are building up and teams are pressing byram is not comfortable recieving on his left and teams target that
Roberts at right back and then Gray can be rotated in midfield.

Kamara slows up momentum. Klasson is good and needs more games to pressure mesliers place who can be flimsy. Summerville is a must and Rutter needs to stop losing possession if we go up and he does it in Premiereship we'll get caught out.

Agree with everything apart from James over Gnonto. Gnonto come into great form, when he comes off the bench he struggles. Whereas James js very impactful off the bench.
young klasson looks a great prospect would do well to have him on bench 👍
Disagree with Firpo - 7 assists!! and he has played very little- if we need to break the low block - we need him.
