Im only halfway done with the video but I got to say the sticking to the one textbook thing makes so much sense! There are so many free resources for Korean (which I have been learning on and off for almost a decade LOL) and because I try to incorporate so many different lessons from various sources, I get SO overwhelmed. Going to definitely minimize the resources I use lol. And I want to learn so many other languages as well but I think sticking to just one or two is better for me because my attention span has dwindled since high school haha. Thank you for these helpful tips!
I seriously love your channel so much. The professionalism of your videos is at such a level, that every video feels very interactive and relatable. Thanks!
@@victorialim Haha of course. I just finished watching the other video, 'The absolute best way to learn a language' and I actually learned thanks to this and your video, that what I am doing right now is right! I have always been in search of other recourses that are 'the best', while what I am doing right now works perfectly for what I WANT and CAN do. I am learning Korean right now; learning 10 words a day while doing grammar exercises, watching k-dramas and journaling every day. It's just now that I realised that what I am doing, fits my goals of becoming fluent nowhere soon, but hopefully within a couple of years.
Sounds like you’re on the right track :) slow and steady wins the race. I think you will also like lindie botes, she has a huge love for Korean! All the best :’)

I really loved your video. Your editing is sick (In a good way) and what you said in the video really hit home. If possible, I would like to see more language learning content on your channel. I would really love that.
For listening to songs in your target language I noticed that for japanese if you sing along to the lyric versions of songs with Romaji (as long as you know how to properly pronounce it) it improves listening, since as a beginner (at least for me) I have a hard time identifying specific sounds in Japanese and of course pronunciation too! :)
This video is just what I needed! Thank you! Just a question: in your process of learning Japanese, do you have a platform that gives you a support or a particular teacher, with constant classes? If yes, did you have any of those in the other languages that you’ve learned? Thanks a LOT! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Hi Yasmin, when I first started learning in quarantine (for about 2-3 months), I just learnt on my own, with about 2 classes from italki just to talk to a native speaker. After that, I took Japanese in university as a class (although honestly, I think if I just studied on my own using the minna no nihongo textbook, I would’ve learnt the same amount)! For Spanish, I took classes in university for about 1.5 years but I applied a lot of the things I mentioned in this video (especially comprehensible input and output) to get really good! Hope this helps :)
Your video is so informative, especially with the conjugation part. I love it. So far the best step by step video I’ve seen.Really helpful. I’ve been studying Spanish for about a month now and just looking for better ways to have a solid schedule. Appreciate you for helping us out 🙏🏾

I also know a little Russian but can't read long texts or understand everything being said to me. I've been studying Spanish before, but haven't touched it in a while. But my biggest priority right now is to learn Japanese. I have spoken to two native Japanese women once in Lithuania, and it was nice. I can't read Japanese yet, currently learning hiragana and katakana and some simple kanji. I know some vocabulary, and understand most of anime without subs, although I do watch it with English subs as well.
