Just to give a little update: within a week of filming this video, the touchscreen stopped working completely. I noticed there was an internal crack between the screen layers that stretched across the device. I assume this is the touch screen. I've reached out to the company about this, and will update once I've come to a resolution. I'm not sure if these tablets crack easily or if something happened during delivery. The tablet was never dropped and has been handled gently.
Yeah i'd probably say go for the ipad non pro if you're looking to get a cheaper tablet but still have a good experience cuz that resolution is kinda bad, although it is still usable especially for beginners etc.
i hate myself that’s true! I’m not entirely sure but I think procreate supports third party pens which is a cheaper alternative to the Apple Pencil. Haven’t done much research about that though.
I use my samsung galaxy tab s3 for digital drawing, and It has wacom technology, battery free and accurate pen and I think it's the best mid range (500$) tablet. I think that It's better to put a little bit more money to get the guality needed for making the drawing proces more enjoyable
@@shaneishaeaton6694 I think the no eraser thing is better than having an eraser on the apple pencil, most people dont even remember that its there anyway...
the artist 12 is for a pc/laptop and is also 200€ and got full hd i have it and it’s really nice edit: and you can see what you draw in the screen of the tablet (if you want to have more options)
Thank you for the review. I was curious to see if there were any good android alternatives to the samsung galaxy tab, and this video helped confim that there arnt any.
this reminds me of the very first bamboo tablet I got (no screen) and the surface was so rough that I had to replace the nibs after only 5 hrs of drawing hahaha the lag on it was about as bad as this one but it was fine for me in the beginning. True beginners will earn their stripes using something like this! I say go for it if you are super tight on $ but save up for either an Intuos tablet or an ipad if you are more serious with your art
Thanks for bringing the cheaper Ipad to my attention ! It's what I've been looking for, just didn't knew that it worked with the Apple Pencil. This tablet is probably cool for the people who like to draw on the go and don't want to spend too much money on it. I mean, resolution isn't important when you're just sketching something out, even though I can see why it bothers you.
The cheaper iPad feels pretty much the exact same as drawing on the iPad pros! I tested them all out in the store and I only opted for the pro because of the processor and the anti glare.
I actually just bought this and received it on Monday. I want to get into digital art but didnt want to spend a ton of money just in case I wasn't a fan of it. This way I got a decent tablet to use for random things and didnt spend too much if I didn't enjoy digital art. I haven't got a chance to play with it too much yet but I've watched a bunch of reviews and it seemed decent. It also has split screen which will come in handy and I haven't noticed any lag. A review by Crowne Prince here on youtube goes a little more in depth for anyone interested.
That's not the greatest quality but I mean for a screen tablet it's quite nice. Im personally really quite happy with mine it costed me less than a hundred and works really smoothly. But I see this being a great portable option.
Many people have complained of their palm leaving marks on the screen. I have solved this by buying soft work gloves from the dollar tree and cutting the thumb and first and second fingers. I don't get any marks with these soft fabric gloves. You can even use both left and right gloves since you don't need the thumb. The glove that came with the tablet leaves marks because there is stitching along the edge that contacts the screen.
Artist 12 is pen screen, my main laptop isn't that fast for drawing. What about Galaxy Tab A with S pen (2019) edition ? I've seen the price is around the same as this one. Could you please review this for us? I'd like to know how it performs in drawing. I couldn't find any videos in TH-cam with this.
Hello! Thank you for this rewiew! I'm looking for a cheap drawing tablet right now. I'm just getting into digital art, and don't even thinked about a display tablet. Maybe because I have a Tab mini 3 (an apple one) and I don't really like it (know wasted money.... But get hyped), I tryed a tablet (a non display one) what costs maybe 3/4 of this.... Thank you... I need to think consider this option too... But it's to hard... And if you donʼt mind, How are You? :]
I bought this and didn't like it at all. The screen scratched so easily with the pen they gave you, and after a couple months the speakers would make a high pitched noise instead of playing sound. If I could go back I'd invest in a better one for sure.
I have this same tablet! It functions but the pen doesn’t work with mine anymore because it scratches up the screen so I’ve been having to draw with my finger for a while now which I would not recommend. Overall it’s just alright but if you’re on a budget I’d say go for it but definitely not a long term tablet :)
I keep seeing ads for this thing and I feel like it's going to bomb big-time. Considering the 6th Gen iPad comes with apple pencil support and you can pick it up on sale around $250.... Yeah the apple pencil is almost $100 but you could pick one up used or refurbished and have a much better drawing experience. Even if you hate Apple nothing really compares to how good the drawing experience is on iPad (I hate that I like it so much)
I would also recommend grabbing the iPad instead! If someone really can't afford it then maybe the picassotab could be an option, but the drawing experience wasn't great.
Yeah, I understand the excitement people have to get into digital art but I am of the opinion that it's better to just save up and wait a little longer, because nothing is worse than spending money on something thinking you got a deal and it ends up holding you back. And then you're out the hard earned cash that you could have put towards a better tool. I want to see more android devices like this on the market though, they could eventually get to where it really competes with what Apple has to offer, I just don't see it yet.
Run from this tablet! Currently the Picasso tab is 250$ on Amazon, for more 100$ you can get the Samsung Tab S6 Lite (350 total with S pen included) you get a tablet with high quality screen, high quality built, 64GB of storage, 4GB of RAM, better cameras, better stylus, better everything for just 100$ more! It's still affordable and it won't break out of nowhere like this tablet does
I got this, the screen broke within a couple of months; haven't been able to fix it since then. Before it broke it was great though haha but not very durable, even with the case on lol.
I'm a graphic design student this is what I use an older version of Wacom Intuos draw, I bought it last year for 45 euro, my lecturer says the smaller ones are better than bigger ones, he made the mistake of buying a large one and regrets it to this day, he said a smaller surface area is much easier to use and not to spend too much on a tablet, Wacom low end are just as good as high end ones.
Ipads are way too expensive for me. And I would like something to draw with while sitting and relaxing in bed instead of sitting at my monitor tablet all the time. So this could be ideal.
I like the tablet but sadly the colors are all messed up/_\ i noticed that after drawing my character that my icon has and the purple on her ears became more of a paler blue and the shirt and skin wasnt as vibrant. This disappointed me cause i tend to use bright colors for my art
I use this tablet, but...the pen stopped working after a year, after I even changed the battery, it just didnt work, and the batteries are $20 for two, they are AAAA's, yeah. Quadruple. This was not my favorite tablet, but hopefully I'm getting a new one before summer so

If it's a dual monitor/graphic tab then no. However, if you're using the same tablet in this video, or something similar then the answer is yes. Sorry for the late response. I hope this helps
So...I have no life. I literally just read every single comment,*and* the replies to see if this product was work buying. Lol There's so many mixed reviews that I'm having a hard time deciding

The only difference I see is the stylus that comes with this tablet; it's worse than the one packaged with the ASUS tablet.
im gonna be honest that tablet seems to made of very cheap materials the touch screen doesnt seem to work well has u were working every tik u did sometimes it didnt respond (probably due to the problem of the screen u sayed on ur comment or the software) and android can hv some issues once in a while (system problem), for that price although it has its own system (android) and doesnt require a pc i dont recommend due to lack of drawing softwares and not being has efficient has pc ones and for that price i can get a screen tablet for pc that work more efficiently. Probably there is another cheap screen tablet with own system like PicassoTab that works better.

but the normal iPad has no pressure sensitivity, which is kinda sorta really important

I've been using the s lite for about a year eventually going to get the s9 + when it's on sale
The iPad 6th gen, which works with the apple pen, starts at about $300. It’s only the 32 gig but still a decent price.
