SYMMETRY. It definitely comes from my mental anxiety and adhd. Symmetry calms me down. That’s why I love RH. The big oversized, natural colors, symmetrical, calm yet domineering.
@@drakedrones i completely agree with you! I don’t prefer whimsy asymmetry in interior design! I can handle it in clothing or artwork, but a room must be mirrored! 😅
I am 45 and absolutely never felt a design style that felt like my style. I knew what I liked and did not have a store that would cater to it till I came across RH. And I Cried! Can you believe it, I literally CRIED. RH is absolutely my soulmate. This store gets me. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thank you so much Wendy! Symmetry is stunning! That my natural tendency but I’ve been playing with asymmetry more and I like that too! Thank you for watching and I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!
My favorite look was the one with the statue, the canvas and print with the black bowl! I love how you mention the furniture itself is a piece of art and not to clutter up something so beautiful!
For me, everything worked well. I think you will never get bored being able to mix all those pieces. I think the mirrors and your textured white art are big enough that you could leave without hanging. Also, the Japanese like art that is smaller, you should repeat in a bigger canvas. Ok, you got me inspired! I'm in my bed and I am going straight downstairs to move some stuff around. Thank you Christina!
I love your insights Lilia! As always! I agree, the Japanese style artwork is too small for the big white wall (just playing around with what I have) but I am dying t make that piece on a huge canvas, I’ve really got to do it ASAP! And I’m dying to see what you do with your house - I’m sure your style is perfection! Thanks for watching and being a loyal sub!
@@christinalnelson Aww thank you Christina. I am far far from perfection. I am like you working on it and taking my time. I also paint but work kept me busy busy in the last few years. I just retired Feb 1 and have lots of canvas in a room downstairs to start soon. Will share when I have something good :) Take care!
Your 2nd RH inspiration photo, the lamp in photo, I saw at Goodwill today! I will be going back to buy it tomorrow. Glass column lamp. Hope it's there still.
I can’t choose between symmetry and asymmetry! I love them both! And thank you so much! I’m never sure how much to share but I felt like sharing a bit more of my personal side in this video. That is my hope and faith for my sweet daughter! Thank you for watching. ☺️❤️
Yes, I created that one! If you look on my channel I did a video about making your own modern, minimal art! So easy and I’m not naturally artistic! Thanks for watching!
Loved the video, Christina! So helpful. It was especially touching to hear your appreciation for historical books on WWII and the Bible stories you relate to. Blessings! ❤

The painting you made, looks like a profile of Abraham Lincoln. Love it.
Haha I’m not sure I see it! Thanks for watching!
@@christinalnelson the cross is the top hat, then face under and then the bottom line it the chest. Like a sculptural bust.

I do love the David statue! I wish I had shown more options with the bust! Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for giving me the rh formula. I couldn’t figure it out. I love the one with 2 lamps. And the last one.
I’m so glad it helps! I love RH and it can be hard to duplicate in your own home! Thanks for watching!

I like both symmetry and asymmetry. Beautiful story you shared on Jesus healing the blind. Your daughter will be healed one day

What I love is that artwork behind you in the beginning. Did you create that?

Oh, and both symmetry and asymmetry in design work. It all depends on the size of the space you are working on and what objects you are working with.
Yes! Love doing both! And switching it up!
