To me, besides Dave, Sleazy was one of the figureheads for Gwar, well at least I think so. Watching Don speak of his friend, his brother in metal, etc, and seeing the love he had for Dave - heartbreaking. At the Gwar BQ, I cannot imagine how they kept it all together without breaking down during the set. I love how that during this memorial, it sounded like there were some fans there and they would interact and have banter with the speakers and that was truly amazing. Out of everyone that spoke that day, Don aka Sleazy P. Martini, that one was the one that almost brought me to tears due to his great speach and touching comments.
For them to break up and not continue on with Gwar - Dave would not want that. He would want them to soldier on and who knows, maybe a new branch in the Gwarology might happen. I mean, Slymenstra has been out of commission for a long time and well, rumor has it that she was taken by extra terrestial beings and for a time, between the albums, so was Oderus and they were forced to fuck and from this unholy union, a child was born and try as they might, they couldnt kill it, so, they had it froze so that the day would come when this child, the damnable spawn that was created, it would arise and would infiltrate Gwar. To the other members of the group, they would still see Oderus, but, to the rest of the world, we would see him for who he truly was and he will bring Gwar back again, to their roots................to be continued
Regardless of what killed Dave, first and formost, he was a human who is imperfect, just as we all are and all of us, have our own demons we struggle with or things we experiment with and though while some of us make it out alive, there are those who do not and to those people all over the world, may the memory of them live in the hearts of their families, friends, and if they had any, their fans hearts forever
Also, I could see Casey Orr returning to Gwar and being the lead vocalist. He was the vocalist for X-Cops when they were starting out, so I think that would be a great fit for Gwar, for Casey to return. I think the fans would really dig that and who knows, stranger things have happened

Oh man... again just hard to watch. To see Don get choked up over the loss of Dave. Don, GWAR just wouldn't have been the same without you. The most classic line of all, " gee Sleazy, do you really know Gwar? Yeah I know Gwar, I'm their fucking manager !!! " Just one of a hundred classic Sleazy P. Martini lines in their movies and live shows. We use to always quote these lines as inside jokes(my friends and I). You really did so much for the band not just as Sleazy P but other characters and more than I could type here. Thank you so much Don!!! Love ya bro,N8knox

I know im 6 years late but Well said Nate, well said.....
I am 57 years old, I from the Orange County CA. being a teenager in the 80s was not as bad as many say. I actually loved it, Im lucky I survived it, that's how much fun my friends & I had. Sunset Bl was still wild back than, lots of coke and girls in zebra tight pants.....
My main reason for replying to you is about a classic memory I have from my teen years.. A public television station (call sign KDOC 56) in Orange County use to air a OC Icon named Wally George (you may have seen the clips here on YT) When word got out that Oderus Urungus and band manager Sleazy P Martini where gonna be on, let me tell you, Every high school student, from every high school in a 30mi radius who loved pot and having a good time lined up a day before tapping to get a seat for the show because of the small venue.. So it wasn't like we thought the band was gonna play. But It goes without saying I was there with two buddies and we got in for the taping. It was like having Sleazy & Oderus in Ur living room.........
It goes without saying Dave Brockie was a artistic genius. Brockie could of attended New York's Juilliard school of performing arts and still not have been challenging enough for him.....
But Don Drakulich AKA Sleazy P Martini created a New York pimp/crack dealer to such comedic perfection that Sleazy P still as entertaining as he was 30 years ago on his YT channel every Friday night.
th-cam.com/channels/KnsTtJmCWAUtgaVsYHc49g.html hopfuly the linq will be take all fans straight to Sleazy's channel (you know how YT/Twitter/Facebook are purging content that speaks truth, even when its done through performing art) So all GWAR fans check out Sleazy P on YT, it's great stuff.
RIP Dave Brockie And Sleazy P Martini keep them 1000 pond crack boulders coming from outer space...

I love the fallowing dialog during Don Drakulich's testimony about David Brockie:
Don Drakulich, as he fights back the tears and is choking-up, tells Chris Bopst: "Get off me."
And Chris Bopst's response is: "Oh, I thought that was our cue to fuck."
Don Drakulich: "Good thing that didn't last long." LMFAO! :-)

@ Nate Brenneman: Yeah, I know what you mean. It's hard not to get choked-up and cry, especially after hearing Eddie Oertell's testimony. All-in-all, I really take to heart what Michael Bishop said about grief: "Let it out, cry a river of tears; there is not enough tears, let it out, keep crying. And reach out, don't let grief get you alone, okay?" :-)

Wow, this is the 1st time I've seen SLeazy out of character as himself... and CRY for that matter! But he's still got that sharp wit, only with what sounds like a slight Canadian accent. I'm telling him I watched this on the next Live from the Bunker show. His character in Gwar is rather odd, he's the only human. So if he's human in Gwar, does he have a slave? Does Don exist as a slave? Either way, this was touching and quite frankly, after all these years, kinda made me tear up a little. God bless you all, even if you've killed him several times on stage.

Am i the only one who thinks don looks like egon spangler lol he is the funniest best thing about every member of gwar is every one sings in the band at some point so if they do go on I think beef should be the lead singer/bass player there is only one "lead singer" for Gwar like when a quartet turns into a trio cuz some ppl cant be replaced
