@sherioky7349 Yes you're maybe right, man I thought that pluto does that according to his beliefs(Hatred towards the robots who destroyed his father's family), but gradually he found out that he was wrong, the idea comes from the last scene when he decided finally to face his father, but yes maybe you're right as Pluto is programmed by Abdullah, so he was compelled to do so, and once Abdullah lost control, Sahd got out of his ordering manner. Thinking about this theory makes me feel like, oh man, we as humans , in a way or another, are programmed to behave in a specific way also by our managers, government and etc. So Naoki, as always, prove that he's the best Manga author at least to me.
is funny you say Epsilon was close to a god, because, in every culture with sun´ goods, the sun god is a giver, who bring peace and civilization to the people, and also is a god who die, and unlike epsilon then resurrect
I can say with certainty that this is one of the most incredible scenes I have ever seen in my short life. The music, the story... The composition and animation as well as the voice acting... Everything is incredible from start to finish, from Pluto pleading for his imminent death, while his body and image slides through an imaginary plane of a beautiful field full of flowers... In the company of a beautiful orchestral melody that complements the setting.
@@navirbox4913 I actually remember my reaction to the panel now, My mouth went wide open and I whispered "holy shit" and hung on that page for a few minutes crying LOL AHH Urasawa is a genius
this was probably the saddest death in the series for me, along with Gesicht's death, mostly because i fully expected them to stay alive, epsilon's already fought pluto once and won so i just thought "he's safe now, right?" , nope of course both he and Gesicht died
Really, he's the only character that I want him to survive until the end. but moments before that we realized there was a more terrifying figure (Bora), apparently two different robots.
Spoilers: Pluto/Sahad really deserved better than anyone else in the show. A gardening robot who's AI was emplanted into a war/assassin robot and manipulated by another robot who believed his own lies and forced to kill with the false promise of getting his old body back. He still had moments of his old self come back to the surface only to be beaten down to the point he didn't know what crying was. No wonder he wanted to die but he really should have lived.
His power to make plants grow would’ve been so beneficial. Was he capable of that in his monstrous body? The juxtaposition of something that wholesome with his look would’ve been amusing
Epsilon truly seems to have more advanced battle tech than any other of the robots in the show he seems to be even stronger than Plutos version of Atom
Epsilon in Pluto is basically just Johan if he was raised by Tenma who would definitely be able to squeeze out that Nihilism. I am amusing myself with my own fanfiction where Tenma adopts the Liebert twins. It ends up being a very heartwarming slice of life story that can cure depression for anybody. Dr Tenma travels all over Eastern Europe with the twins, helping people on the way. They would all be very knowledgeable about Kinderheim 511. They end freeing Dieter from his abuser. This time it's Johan who convinces Dieter that life is worth living. Johan ends up using his intellect to get money to run a way better orphanage where he gets all the scared kids and talk no jutsus them. Johan and Anna would also know there birth names. Either Tenma finds their mother and gets their names or they go to her themselves.
I know you’re talking about Monster but it’s hard to read you saying Tenma and not immediately think of Astro boy/Pluto Tenma : P which really made me confused for a moment
correct me if I’m wrong, but i don’t think the scene where Epsilon was beheaded was shown in the manga. Watching that scene in the anime is so fkin sad i love Epsilon sm😭
I had recently fo ished watching this woth my friends and we all went “oh no” when it revealed Epsilon’s family. I made a joke of that anime can’t have nice dads
Yea, I was lowkey upset about him losing to Pluto because he simply just didn't bother even fighting him. He could have easily won if he had just focused on actually fighting him instead of trying to defend the other 2 down below
I mean that’s kind of the whole point of the scene. He could have beat Pluto but he chose to protect Wasilly instead and stayed true to his pacifism which helped inform Atom’s decision to spare Pluto and join with him to save the world.
@@rootbourne4454 I mean...yes I get it. But in regards to the actual fight, he was considerably more stronger than Pluto yet he chose to sacrifice himself for measly 2 people down below 👇

Although this anime was impressive in parts, this is where the story completely broke down. Pacifists aren't suicidal, not well they allow others to get hurt. I sincerely didn't like the last episodes where 2 of the characters have to because of SADNESS????
The deaths were already sad in the manga but they feel so much more brutal in animation
the shot of the field of roses coming in was breathtaking. Genuinely thankful for the animators doing Pluto justice
Agreed, every time a field of flowers is shown in this show it’s pure emotion.
It's not only Epsilon, but every robot death touched me hard

Epsilon definitely was the most powerful of the robots
That’s why he’s a pacifist
I can argue the nicest one too. While Atom is good kid, he still not reach the level of Epsilon's maturity
