Yes Satheesh , We should use GIT for development but in Elastic beanstack when we could choose source code origin its shows only local or S3 to upload the code. So either we could use local and upload from local GIT but not from remote GIT but there is other way to achieve it by using Elastic beanstack CLI docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/eb3-cli-git.html where we could use GIT CLI for EB deployment. But AWS suggest S3 because from Final copy we could upload to S3 (code ready to deploy) so we can deploy same to different environments like dev, test, pre-prod and prod so s3 helps in deployments in other environments till prod.

Any "Elastic" hints that its a compute service which provides infra to host the application, in this case Elastic Beanstalk is used to host the web applications and Amazon SWF lets you write your application components and coordination logic in any programming language and run them in the cloud or on-premises. I may try to make a demo for SWF soon.
