- Murphy's Law strikes! Shots fired! (Sort of) Brand new windshield and radiator, and other goofy drivers going off through the runoff gravel traps, had a grating effect on our race. So much good stuff improving the Flyin' Moose Volvo, three strong drivers including Lara Vernon, and a beautiful winter day in the South. Our 740 has never been better, thanks to prep by co-driver Sam Collier, the new Yokohama AD09 tires, the new Hawk ER-1 Endurance compound brakes, and our upgrade Wilwood calipers. Check out how it all played out at Road Atlanta ChampCar this time. Always an adventure, race tribe friends!

Plenty already gutted around. Find one from 88-00 with the good suspension. in 2001 they went back to cheap econobox mcphearson struts.

Thanks David. We are Volvo all the way. B230FT turbo 4-cyl 8-valve. Runs great! Until a rock punctures the radiator. Screen next time for sure.

We shoulda protected it, but old one did last YEARS. Buyt it was beat up. We got lucky. It's the bottom few rows that stick out beyond the intercooler.
Always great to see the Moose on track. You're just missing 20 minutes of onboard racing footage. The camera and angle looked great.
Yeah, we did not get the tarck time we had hoped. Camera failed during my stint, and did not get annother try. Next race, Lucky Dog at Carolina Mtr Park (CMP) Feb 25-26 2023

Blasting past those cars with serious wings - just shows where one should spend energy (money and time) and where not. Trying to add downforce on this speed level has very little return on investment.
We put front and rear aero on one of our ChampCar's and lowered our times by 3 seconds per lap at VIR.
It's a good question.
@@WyFoster Historically, downforce is always faster. Someday we may add the wing/splitter

Compared with the Bimmers, it looks like a Buick Grand National :). Awesome car, drive, and video!
It's quite square, but not as heavy as it appears, barely 2600 lbs.
The track has to chew up right side tires
