Another great video. My wife and I try to get up to Maine every year. Have not done much back country camping there, but certainly have done a lot of fishing and eaten some amazing fresh seafood. Love that little moose on the picnic table at the beginning of the video. Gonna have to try carving a moose this week, would look great at camp. Thanks for all you share with us.
Hey, thanks for watching. My wife kaysie actually carved the little moose. Our how to carve a mushroom video is complete, we're trying to figure out when to release it. I think you were looking forward to that one. Sounds like you visit maine, what state are you from?
@@CreationDust777 I am very excited to see the mushroom video. I carved my first mushroom this past week out of a small piece of rough cut pine 6x6, about a foot tall. Kind of a toad stool shape. It was looking pretty good, until I forgot it in the sun for about six hours while I was carving a few other items. Boy did that thing ever crack, haha. I am going to try another mushroom this week out of something much bigger. Tell Kaysie truly liked the moose that she carved. I live in the upper part of NY, so visiting the coast of Maine has been a pretty regular thing for me most of my life. Though most of my off time throughout the year is spent in the Adirondacks.
@jeremyyoungmann5083 ive been through the andirondacks several times Beautiful area. Bondo makes nice filler for the cracks in the top of mushrooms. Generally works good since the tops are easily painted. Once the bondo is dry I'd throw a couple nice long screws in perpendicular to the Crack to help keep future movement to a minimum. Fill and paint
@@CreationDust777 Thanks for the advice on the Bondo. I used to use bondo often as a taxidermist, but never considered it with carving, makes complete sense. Can't wait to see your upcoming mushroom video. Thanks again for all you do.
