If your mum lived in the area at the time (late 70s to late 80s or early 90s) she would no doubt remember him.
@@bert23337 No, that's a mid-50's Holden (some of us can identify that and several of it's predecessors from when they were new). I'm talking about the one on the opposite side of the road.

It looks like the "Village of Asquith" at 1:06 is shot from the corner of Peats Ferry Rd and Bouvardia St looking ENE towards the service station.
Exactly, Joe - That's what I thought when I saw it!
It will always be The Pacific Highway to real locals. What have they called Hookhams corner ,Yuppies Bend.
Thanks for posting this gem; I wish other councils around Sydney would follow suit!
I say that's Holroyd City Council!
Memories of childhood!
I lived in Asquith from 1975 - 1989 - but lived in America since until now
Now make a follow-up video with half of Asquith being high rise apartment blocks
Shameful now indeed - grew up here from 1975 to 1989 - I left at 18
Is there film of Cess drunk, bludging cigarettes and abusing people at Hornsby station?

Nice. 👍👌
Can anyone identify the make of the white car at the 2 minute mark heading south to join the highway please?
Do you mean the car bearing NSW rego BCP747 heading north on the highway at Asquith and turning right onto the railway bridge?

That should have been "its predecessors" of course. Autocorrect jumped in where it was wrong.

@@bert23337 3 colours is really something. 2 were common, making use of the panel at the side. Having the roof to match it was another variation.
Looks like the streets in Holroyd at Wentworthville and Greystanes
I say it's a greater Holroyd
