Having a trailer opens up more opportunities as you said and it doesn't make you any less of a biker. I've been riding more years than most bikers I've met over the years and I have trailered a fair amount due to constrained time off from work and family obligations. A friend and I trailered from Pa out to Utah non-stop, covered 1400 miles in 5 days, rode great highways (Utah 12 was my best road ever) and saw amazing sights in the 5 national parks out there, then straight through back to Pa. We used a week of vacation and got some great seat time without being exhausted by the ride out and back. You might also consider the fly and ride option. That same friend moved to Oregon, I flew, rented a full dresser, and we did a week on the coast hightway down through northern Calif and circled back inland. Another great trip which otherwise wouldn't have been possible due to work and family obligations at the time. Enjoy your journey on two wheels, never stop learning, and do what works for you and your life. Stay safe out there, welcome to the lifestyle.

Great buy. Trailers are so multi purpose for hauling anything really. Especially on those rainy or wet days. Not sure if theft is a big deal in your area, but something to consider with your first trailer is a good ball hitch lock. Not just a simple paddle lock. An actual ball style lock. I had a 24ft trailer stolen that I did finally get back. Ball lock that can't be cut off was my best purchase hahaha. You are a beautiful biker babe. Love the mix of riding and seeing you dolled up. Lip stick is dope. Cheers.

That is a nice trailer, one word of advice is cross your safety chains, that way if the trailer comes loose from the ball the chains will catch it and you will still have control of it.

Very nice Trailer you have Meg.. I bought a 2014 Easy Haul 7X14 V-Nose, dual Axel , Enclosed Trailer. Used for both Snowmobiles Motorcycles. Has ramp up front and rear. Side Man Door, and a fuel door on the side to fuel the machines with out taking them out of the trailer. Also Two over head lights inside for night time use inside the trailer. We live up North on the East Coast also. Don't let theses others tell you, you have to ride everywhere. That's just crazy. Let me see them ride motorcycles with 4" of Snow covering the road for miles and miles and miles. And 5 degrees outside . 🤣🤔🙄
Glad you bought a Trailer it will come in very handy for multiple purposes and things. Congrats Meg, keep doing what your doing. Your doing just fine. 👍👍🇺🇸

I think your trailer selection was good, plus i LOVE the leather pants😍❤😎. I find having a trailer gives me peace of mind because i can haul extra parts for my bike which allows repairs on the road in case the need arises. plus its easier to secure my baby when in an unfamiliar location. thanks for the post.

Nice choice in trucks too. Great trailer buy. When i finally pick up an enclosed trailer, i plan to find tandem axel with break assist. Help the truck out with the load in the mountain crossings. Great videos. Ride safe doll.

If you started in the village of lake George (Canada St) head north up route 9n along the west side of the lake into Hague. Then you can either head west on ST RT 8 into the Brant lake area or continue north on 9N into Ticonderoga where you can go around the North End of Lake George and then head South on ST RT 4 and come down along Lake Champlain where maybe, Just maybe you’ll see the Lake Monster “Champ”
Then you can head into White Hall which is the Big Foot sighting capital (true story) So many great scenic roads.
Also if you did come during Americade, there are guided tours available

Depending on weather and other paths intended, either the Poconos in Eastern PA or the "PA Grand Canyon" in North-Central PA provide some good diversionary roads on the way to North-West NY.
If you're in a hurry and don't want to take side-routes Rt. 15 runs pretty fast and busy along the Susquehanna but will provide a few of those river views some of us enjoy.
I'm sure you've been told Horseshoe falls has great photo-ops on the Canadian side, if you remember your passport to get back across and if COVID 19 doesn't prevent crossing.
Fun fact, My wife and I years ago stayed in a Hotel on the Canadian side and hardly even noticed the cross-over. On the way back, all cars were pulled over and checked. We were ready and all, but I asked the guy "What-if?" and he said it's not our security's job to stop people headed out for any reason, only to make sure they are citizens or authorized to travel when coming this direction.
    Have fun!

I can't live without a cargo trailer! I have a 6x12 for my company and it fits 3 bikes no problem. I use it for track days with 2 bikes and all our gear. A trailer is far better than a pickup truck or van because you only use it when you need it. No insurance, registration, etc,etc..... It's the most valuable thing you can own! Bike to dealer in rain/snow? No problem! Pick up a dead bike? No problem!
Impromtu Camp/Bike outing? No Problem! I will never be without a trailer!
I am doing a USA solo adventure this coming summer on my Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX and plan on documenting the entire trip. I am fortunate enough to have my own company and zero responsibilities!! I can do business from my bike and ride where I want, wherever I want and whenever I want. My life SUCKS!!! LOL!

I bought a nice 6x12 trailer for hauling my bike. It’s black and orange with a silver stripe. The guy I bought it from bought it to trailer his bike to Sturgis, and he bought it from a guy that had bought it new to trailer his bike to Sturgis. I’m not planning to go to Sturgis (yet), but I will eventually. The trailer is well outfitted with aluminum wheels and bigger tires than stock, and the floor has been covering with a spray-on bed liner. Yeah, I’d rather ride than trailer the bike, but I like having the option to haul it to a destination. If someone thinks I’m less of a biker for that, it’s their problem, not mine.

Ok , now that I finished watching I can finish commenting 😁 That is an Awesome looking trailer !!!! And Really cool of Mr Gibson to shoot you other listings , I would agree that he's a Standup kind've guy 👍
Now a little advice in case you don't know , but when you strap the bikes in , make sure you Never hook any straps from the handlebars or triple tree down to your tie down rings as that will compress the forks , and can blow out your fork seals . Always strap around the lower part of the fork tubes , so you're not compressing the forks . Sean from SRKcycles blog, has some really nice straps that he recommends , you can look him up on TH-cam. Just wanna say , Another Really enjoyable video Meg, oh and before I forget , Cool full face helmet and nice Real leather pants too 😉 You know I'm thinking that you could rock some Evel Kinevel leather apparel , ( fitted pants ) and the jacket , and Whoa it would look Awesome , and you would get the added benefit of being way more visible , and making a Kinevel suit look REALLY , uh well Hot!!! 😁 I've been riding almost 30 years , and I'm as huge believer in being as visible as possible , it has saved my butt quite a few times . It's kind've like when you go running or cycling , bright colors and reflective goodies , so as to help with dumbass drivers not paying attention .
Ride safe , and can't wait till your next video 😊

& u can set the trailer up to sleep in, my 12ftr. sleeps 5 & hauls my harley (only 1 bike fits in 12ftr.) when it breaks down or we use as a chase vehicle on big rides.

google the HILLBILLY TRIANGLE MOTORCYCLE RIDE and go through the NADA Tunnel in central Kentucky. It includes Historic towns and The Red River Gorge.

Hi Meg. Here is my opinion on a couple things I’ve heard you talk on in your videos. Don’t worry what people say about putting a bike on a trailer or what you wear for that matter. You do what works for you. Don’t be stereotyped into you can only ride and can only wear leather when you ride. People customize their bikes to be different and personal. Biker freedom doesn’t end there. Your videos are great!! Thanks for being there.

Hi Meg. Nice to see you riding in sunshine over there. We are in Lockdown here in England and the weather is cold and very wet. Don`t take any notice of riders who criticize you for using a trailer, it makes perfect sense in some circumstances. Just to echo what others have said.....you are leaning too far forward and would feel a world of difference with bars closer to you. I don`t mean that as a criticism in any way but I am sure it would benefit your back in the long run. Love the video, nice trailer too. Ride safe.

You never tell us about your bike. I live in Texas and like you have newly found the joy of motorcycle riding. I bought at first a Honda Monkey for fun and then loved it so much bought a Kawasaki 1500 vulcan. I immediately new it was to big and heavy for me as a new rider. So I went to Harley and bought a 2020 1200 Iron and love it. Let people know..NEVER buy or ride a bike you are not comfortable with. The bike community is GREAT. LISTEN to the ole riders. There old riders for a REASON. I'm retired U.S. Army. Starting my own motorcycle journey. Listen...and learn. Be well.

@@megsmotorcyclejourney Hi Megan, tell James Gilliland to go back and watch a few of your previous vids where you traded in your Sportster for the Low Rider S. At first I thought it was a Super Glide and then watched until I saw the switch. Make it like HIDE and SEEK to identify your ride. I already had a trailer with a Torq-Flex axle for a previous business. When I retired , I bought a 37 ft. diesel "toy hauler" motor home with a hydraulic lift tail....no ramp to contend with. It can hold 4 scoots and sleeps up to 6. It made it to Sturgis in 2016. If you make it to Houston, TX. you can ride my WideGlide....the "WILDER ROSE". Bring a friend and we can make it a "business / rally " trip...and write off the expense. I will keep in touch....JwgK

Good choice not buying the one with rotted floor, bad rust problem and the floor will most likely collapse on you.
