I think the reason why zenonia was so good was because most other popular mobile games at the time were just simple time killer games like temple runner and pocket god and doodle jump.
But zenonia felt like fully realized rpgs that were fun to play just by virtue of having fun combat and old school rpg gameplay. It was just filled with charm and replayablity.
It was a diffirent time for mobile gaming

Zenonia is what rpg should have been for mobile games. Yes it felt unique at that time but to this day it still is (regardless of graphic)
Look at Bleach Brave Souls. It has a similar playing mechanic/style. To this day, there are no other games, and it's one of the reasons for the Bleach game success.

The luxferre thing from what I think is that they changed his character design last minute.

I played all the sequel games from 1 through 5. I enjoyed Zenonia 2 the most with the OP Ecne.
However, the playstyle was noticibly improving with every new game. You cant just win just by spamming, and every boss had a different strategy to kill.

I did not play inotia 1 and 2 tbh, but 3 and 4 didn't do it for me.
Yo, Inotia 3 was fire, but 4 was a straight downgrade.
Shame it was also removed from the store like most Zenonia games.

Combat in zenonia 2 is so rigid, i get that the game is old but it made me get bored fast, 3 and 4 got better tho
it's definitely more polished in the later games, but I think it was a massive improvement over one. which was really rigid
