Such great blending. I feel like I really am learning a step that isn't really emphasized with most tutorials. Thank you!!
Magnificent blending. I am definitely going to adopt this technique. Thank you for sharing your technique.
Amazing technique. Thank you so much. I am learning so much from you.
Thank you Thank you Thank you! That was by far the best step by step demonstration on how to blend. This I can innerstand! You made it very easy to learn! 💙🙏💙
Thank you so much for this video! It was so clearly explained and demonstrated. Really appreciate that, man.
The videos that I've watched on blending from you makes me have the confidence that I've needed to even begin to try something like this. I appreciate your precise instructions every step of the way. Thank you so much for your videos. I can't wait to try blending
That’s pretty. It reminds me of being underwater headed to the surface.
Thank you. This helps a lot. 🎨
Excelente!!

Thank you 🙏
Thank you! I’m having problems making a douce white/yellow light behind black/grey shadows of people. What to do? Anyone?
I've watched a few of your blending videos, and I'm anxious to try out your technique. Do you treat your canvas before painting? Thanks very much for these videos!
you're welcome & no it's not treated at all
Man, this helps. ( Instead of blending up/down, side to side, angles, why not blend circlely? Does it matter? ) End result is A beauty.
thanks glad it helps & I usually end up doing it all at some point (up, down, left, right, cirlces, x's) when blending out backgrounds
Thank you! Would you plz make a video on how to do the bokeh background effect?
really liked your idea thanks - th-cam.com/video/9fV-eb3iEeo/w-d-xo.html
wonderful but what if I need to paint on wood that I have been drying for years? I must avoid using watter at all cost. thanks
I've painted on wood before it's np, just prime it first when water is an issue
What do you mix paints with and what's your consistency? 😊
I almost always just use water (occasionally add a bit of slow-dri amzn.to/3GhL5gc when working on larger canvases) and get it to a creamy consistency that is a bit thicker than watercolor.
Can i wash the used brushes?
Yes just rinse them out w/ warm water when you’re done they’ll last for years
This technique doesn't work with heavyweight paper? Or am I doing something wrong
It's possible but tough because the paper is so absorbent compared to a canvas surface, which makes it hard for the paint to flow. You're going to have to add loads of water and paint + work very fast.
@@GregLowmanArt ty for your reply.
Yeah I thought so. I already made up my mind & will buy a canvas & keep the paper for ideas that don't require smooth blends.
I hope I'll find a well enough primed canvas as I don't want to go through the process (I've seen recommended) with applying & smoothing gesso.
yeah it will be much easier on a canvas and you do not have to gesso for this technique if you don't want to deal with it - good luck
Can you do a video of multiple gradients? Similar to a prism gradient?
Sure & this one may help until then:

Was your canvass dry or wet plz
the canvas was dry to start
Please DONT use jus plain water. But a 60% slow dry and 40% flow improver. Instead. Water WILL DISSOLVE the paint so it will actually lift back off canvas . With succeeding layers
I have never had flaking or lifting in countless paintings over 15 years, even where i've used glazes & washes. You may want to try higher-quality paints such as liquitex, winsor & newton or golden.
