These are the shows I love, cutting and welding making the car solid again. No one else is doing these like you. Bad Chad is cool but his are unique creations. I love to see you restore these old hot rods to a usable condition and beyond. Thank you Dan and thank you Dani for doing a great job recording, assisting and commenting! Great team.
I agree completely. Building a hot rod today involves more restoration of the sheet metal than anything else. I have gained a great deal of confidence on my own projects watching Dan cut 'em up and weld 'em back together fearlessly. Danni is a great helper and provides humorous entertainment as well. She's a keeper!
You continue to amaze me,the work you've done on not only this car but what I've seen on Facebook to the two lane 55.A guy takes a nap and DD Speed Shop has 2 or 3 more cars rebuilt!
@miketowtruck13 I like watching him do all the rust repair but ,I don't wanna do all the rust repair lol.I don't mind bodywork and paint but something about cutting cars apart and new expensive metal scares me.
Another classic saved, how people feel they can critisize you is staggering, youve more talent in your little toe than most could ever aspire to achieve.
Gotta be honest with you guys. Dan keeps talking about Bad Chad and how great he is, I gave his channel a look and I think what you do is way more impressive and interesting. Dan's talents really shine thru where Chad has a whole crew of guys helping him get cars and projects out. There's no contest who's channel I would rather watch on a daily basis! You guys ROCK! Keep up the good work Dan and Danielle and one day all that hard work will pay off!
So all you kept from the original car is the cowl, front pillars, roof, rear pillars, trunk deck, and chassis. Basically a new car old car. Fantastic work as always from the DD speed shop family.
I go through a 50 stack of those disc's in no time as well. I always have my eyes open for the big 50% off sales on those so I don't feel so violated!! Keep up the vids!
Was showing my missus Dan's face covered in dirt..she said I end up looking like you Dan when I get tinkering with my Cars!.I call it the face of enjoyment, if you ain't getting dirty you ain't t enjoying yourself enough. Keep up the good work Dan, really enjoying this build....
You make it look really easy. I've been watching you since you got this car and you make it look easy when it's not but I like what you're doing to it. It looks really good.Keep up the good work
From 1983 to 1987, I owned a 1971 Chevelle. It was the Heavy Chevy version. The real deal, not a clone. 350/350. It was in great condition, completely rust free AZ car. I wish I had kept it. I traded it for my dream car, a 1976 Corvette. That was also a beautiful car, at least cosmetically. But it was a mechanical nightmare. The more things I fixed/replaced, the more it needed. At least it seemed that way. It was my only car, and at the time I did not have a good place to work on it. I finally gave up and sold it, and bought a 1979 Chevy truck. I kept that till I finally bought a house with a garage in '94, and started collecting old cars. I still have a thing for the '70-'72 Chevelle. I will never own another one, but it's nice to see someone rebuild one.
I've seen so many people just glue new skins over the old crap and bondo the seems it's the way it was done back in the day. It's really nice to see it done correctly. Well DD correctly anyway!😂 It's definitely better than the old school way.👍😁
dd speed shop is so back. The haters are punching the air right now. I totally get the unusual videos about selling cars and fiddling around. It’s nice to see zip discs and sparks and panels going on again though.
Nice work Dan and of course Dani. This is a lot of work, but it's a 70 Chevelle. It will be worth it. Stay motivated and enjoy the process. These are big panels looks like thanks to your work, they are going to fit pretty well. Rock on!
It is justified. In you case, you need the complete bottom part of the quarter to properly mate with rocker panel and the trunk floor filler panel. Also the bottom door jams tends to get rotted too. Then the unused upper part, you can sell to other Chevelle owners.
Dan I learn more about HOT RODDING from channel than others. You do it with minimal equipment. All the others have state of the art tools. Thank you very much😊 P.S. Don't too hard on Dani she really tries hard to help you. Keep up the great videos. Can't wait to see if you get a new and bigger shop.😊
The Camaro type quality panels all over. Patching is sometimes better than replacement if its crap panel, I had a fender a 1nch too short frustrating lately.
Hey Dan as a collision tech for many years, I would suggest you get a panel cutter for air chisel. Save on cut off discs. They are about the same noise level. Just a thought.
I love the way you used absolutely no measuring devices and just slice and dice . I spend 17.3 hours measuring and making templates just to do a simple metal modification before I cut anything.
When they tested me at the US Army induction center they asked if I liked to get my hands dirty. I think this is the kind of work they were talking about.
I'm so impressed at your...""let's just cut it attitude""..., I'm way more hesitant about things... I guess part of the reason my project ain't finished yet.
Dan, order these from the online jungle store 'Benchmark Abrasives 4-1/2" Aluminum Oxide Quality Thin Cut Off Wheel for Metal and Stainless Steel 7/8" Arbor," stop buying the junk discs from Canadian tire. These discs out last the junk ones 5 to 1.
Yep that's 70 Chevelles coming together Dan and Danielle I'm glad you go back and show everybody horse not fitting that way they can understand why it's not at one end and then at the other end self tappers part of the back section not quite perfect like you said the thumb but I like it that's a thumbs up for me great job Dan dream cars on its way you picked a good one one of my favorites and I'm a Ford man but that 70 Chevelle is right up there with them till next time I'll be watching
Awesome work, Dan! Brings back memories of when I did the body on my 72 Chevelle back in 03. Did exactly what you're doing. Only original metal left on mine is the doors, trunk lid, and roof.
Dan you are really making me get after my car by you going this far into this Chevelle goodnlord man this is Gonna be a nice one when Your done Keep on keeping on Brother ...... DDspeedshop for the win
One of my favourite channels from one of my least favourite cities. I may be bias because I met my ex there. Winters sure are better in Vancouver though.
didnt hollor at screen once this video great job dan cruised around in a chevelle lots so many launches and burn outs a four wheel braking torn whole rear end out 50 s chirp lol
Needs a nice set of crome slot mags a d paint .new 70 s chevelle. Cool. Danielle good on camera and questions to you. Keep up the brillient content. Take care you two🚘
Dan all I can say is you are one working son-of-a-gun! That was a LOT of work, and you jump in with both feet and do what is required to get it all to work. Really GREAT job!
I love the 55 getting its due attention but I am anxious to see this one back in the video rotation! Such an iconic car and you are doing work many would run away from on it.
I enjoy watching you "hack" things up! Good job though. Your comment about Boyd Coddington was interesting, I bought a set of BC "junkyard dog" wheels thinking I was getting American made stuff and noticed they were stamped "Made in China" on the back of the wheel. 😮😮
I totally agree about the zip discs, bought the same pack a few weeks ago, very flimsy and wear out so damn quickly, that's why you need at least 40 of them to try and do any job correctly!!!
Because of u ,you gave me the balls to do hang quarters on my 70 cadillac deville convertible!! Thank u so much Dan,b4 I watched your videos I had no balls n was so scared but YOU gave e me the nuts to do my project I thank you so very much!!!!
True work !!! The dirtier his face get the further he's into the build! Self made!!! You literally see how much he's loving what he's doing all over his face!!!!
Looking awesome! Please…..consider painting this hot rod. And if you decide you’re going to paint it, how good would an autumn gold with black stripes look?!?! Keep up the good work!
Could you just imagine how much fun you'd have with cars if you bought one completely rust free. You've fixed what we would've sent to the crusher here in the states. Very few people are doing that much sheetmetal replacement unless its holy grail numbers matching kind of scenarios

Making a clapped out Chevelle new again - Lesson 3 with Dan from DD rebuild shop . You sir are a craftsman.
You continue to amaze me,the work you've done on not only this car but what I've seen on Facebook to the two lane 55.A guy takes a nap and DD Speed Shop has 2 or 3 more cars rebuilt!
Your not kidding ive told Dan many a time that he is inspiring many of us to get our hotrods going 😊
@miketowtruck13 I like watching him do all the rust repair but ,I don't wanna do all the rust repair lol.I don't mind bodywork and paint but something about cutting cars apart and new expensive metal scares me.

The neighbors " lets sit outside and drink coffee and just listen to the birds---no wait dan`s home" 😄
That’s funny
There’s going to be a street party when DD speed shop moves away all the neighbours are going to be happy
@@TMGMrClean get a life
@TMGMrClean I for one would love Dan And Dani for Neighbors, They would be alot better than any HOA pile of righteous garbage out there 🙄
@@van-ubbe in my neighborhood I’m the Dan 😂😂😂😂😂

Chad is an artist, Dan is a builder. They're really not comparable in a lot of ways, two completely different styles and products.
So all you kept from the original car is the cowl, front pillars, roof, rear pillars, trunk deck, and chassis. Basically a new car old car. Fantastic work as always from the DD speed shop family.

I came home from work one day and my daughter said,” wow mom you’re extra dirty today.” She’s 9 and she helps wrench on whatever I’m working on.
Jesus built my hotrod. No, it was dan. More please.
I am always amazed at your Tetris abilities. You need to do an educational series Dan. Absolutely five stars!
You make it look really easy. I've been watching you since you got this car and you make it look easy when it's not but I like what you're doing to it. It looks really good.Keep up the good work
Dan you’re doing a great job and work hard. It’s easy to see you know what you’re doing. Enjoyed tonight’s video and looking forward to the next one.
I'd be happy if I could make a straight cut with a death wheel. Dan you are the man. Great as always.

Abrasives, saw blades and tape are things I spend extra on. Order Diablo zip discs off of Zoro. 50 pack is the best value.
Dani is doing a great job of videoing, editing and asking good question. You make a great team.
Amazing Dan , I’m speechless other than to say your fearless attitude leads to amazing results. 👍😎
Nice work Dan . Its amazing to to see you can make a pile of scrap metal and turn it into a car again. Like magic
my friend has a 1970 ss chevelle he bought new in 70 and still has it -454 with 4 speed red in color-this is gonna be nice Dan
Dan Fan here; very nice job Bro !!! I think you know exactly what to do for the best results. Rave -On Danni and Dan !!!🤩

Great job my friend! Love the way you Canadians say garage. I say it often now. Lol...
As far as negative comments….. “you can make all the people happy some of the time or some of the people happy all of the time”
A paper cut on your finger hurts worse then cutting your finger off.
dd speed shop is so back. The haters are punching the air right now. I totally get the unusual videos about selling cars and fiddling around. It’s nice to see zip discs and sparks and panels going on again though.
Looks like these quarters definitely fit a lot nicer than the camaros did
Dan, Daniel my brother!! Amazing work. Outstanding work. This car is going to be a nice one. Signed - Your friend, the Cancer guy. 😊

Looking good brother. Dan definitely has some skills 😊 and thank you for entertaining me. I'm living vicariously through Dan. Love DD SPEEDSHOP ♥️

Making it look easy. Pretty impressive work.
Ok Dan & Dan. This one deserves a nice paint job! And Dani gets to choose!
Back in the date shops got 16 hours flat rate for a full 1/4 and 10 hours for a belt line cut which was most often the case to keep thing simpler.
Nice work!! You’re so confident with your panel fitment skills. I believe the Chevelle is in good hands, for sure. Cheers!! 😎
Now this is what I watch DD Speed Shop for! Excellent video!
I'm so impressed at your...""let's just cut it attitude""..., I'm way more hesitant about things... I guess part of the reason my project ain't finished yet.

Damm good work bro I will be happy when you start working on Danny four door 57 Chevy can’t wait ❤❤❤❤😎
Make this build special because of its spot in history as a muscle car.
Awesome work, Dan! Brings back memories of when I did the body on my 72 Chevelle back in 03. Did exactly what you're doing. Only original metal left on mine is the doors, trunk lid, and roof.
Great job you two as always the dynamic duo 👍

Same way I feel about Indiana !
Lookin good Dan. Not easy making those jobber quarter panels fit but you are doing fine. Much appreciated filming these
Great progress. A lot of metal replacement but it will be worth it in the long run
didnt hollor at screen once this video great job dan cruised around in a chevelle lots so many launches and burn outs a four wheel braking torn whole rear end out 50 s chirp lol
Needs a nice set of crome slot mags a d paint .new 70 s chevelle. Cool. Danielle good on camera and questions to you. Keep up the brillient content. Take care you two🚘
There are two things when it comes to replacing welded on panels, minimum weld, means minimum mud. And those two things mean a whole lot less work.
Hello Dan and Dannie
Dan all I can say is you are one working son-of-a-gun! That was a LOT of work, and you jump in with both feet and do what is required to get it all to work. Really GREAT job!
Suggestion. Put the bumper on to check alignment before final welding.

Ah it will be fine u got them backyard skills...plus u got so mutch energy...mutch love mid michigan.
I really like this build! Saving another classic! 😊👍
Thanks for sharing this video with us ,nice work
Glad those quarter panels fit better than the Camaro ones did.
I opened the app to find your video and the VGG monster truck video. I chose yours first 😊
Great work big guy!
I enjoy watching you "hack" things up! Good job though. Your comment about Boyd Coddington was interesting, I bought a set of BC "junkyard dog" wheels thinking I was getting American made stuff and noticed they were stamped "Made in China" on the back of the wheel. 😮😮
GOOD JOB U2!
Coming together a guy who can make any rusted junk into a car great job and content great also 🏁💯
It's looking awesome indeed. Like you said. Coming together slowly indeed. Keep up the great work.
Looks pretty good so far
Looking good Dan. Way to go 👍💯
I totally agree about the zip discs, bought the same pack a few weeks ago, very flimsy and wear out so damn quickly, that's why you need at least 40 of them to try and do any job correctly!!!
Thank you Dani for asking questions that I am thinking!❤
"Dirty Dan Here!" 😂😅
No, I'm dirty DAN!!!!
Much better man than I Daniel. I couldn't do that amount of work due to time/skill.
great job btw whats going on with merrrrr how is he doing
Lots of work for sure. But I know you got it covered.
Those two minute zip disc's are working pretty good I see!
On Sale to boot!
You make this look so easy Dan. Well done.😊😊
That Zip disk is just like Murs fancy can opener everybody needs one Mike
Nice job I've done metal replacement on cars .It takes time to get correct fitment but worth it.
Great content as always but the all the extended grinding with headphones and no volume adjustment is brutal
Very nice work, you make it look so easy.
Looking good on the car
Thanks Dani for asking about the quarter skins. I was going to comment about cutting good steel out
Because of u ,you gave me the balls to do hang quarters on my 70 cadillac deville convertible!! Thank u so much Dan,b4 I watched your videos I had no balls n was so scared but YOU gave e me the nuts to do my project I thank you so very much!!!!

Power outage again in Beech Island SC but still watching Dan!
Great job,Working on my 71 Chevelle and doing the same thing with all new sheet metal.A lot of work 😅
Could you just imagine how much fun you'd have with cars if you bought one completely rust free. You've fixed what we would've sent to the crusher here in the states. Very few people are doing that much sheetmetal replacement unless its holy grail numbers matching kind of scenarios
Less body work to use the whole quarter, but keep on doing it the easiest way for you!
It's Ron in Ontario and you are very very talented
Nice work Dan and Dani
