- Today we go and pick up a minty AC Cobra out of a shipping container. It's been sitting for a while and needs a little work before going up for sale. I've owned this car for 10 years and I've been driving it less and less over the years.
It's a hard choice but it is finally time to send this car down the road and free up some funds.

That 57 is so Quagmire’s car! You should’ve had your pinstriper put Giggity Giggity on it somewhere.
🤣🤣
You are absolutely right. That's funny. Giggity, Giggity, Giggity.....
Frig why Someone just think of this now, that would be hilarious! 😅
So, let's review. A really cool 57 pseudo conv. Drives the cobra home past 2 really cool mads, parks beside the ss nova with the ba sbc in it. And the 68 Camaro in the garage. You're living the good life Dan.
Has a cobra and a Nova and still complaining....like collectors do...
AND I ALMOST WENT TO JAIL TRYING TO BUY A PROJECT NEW YORKER AND HAD A GUN PULLED ON ME WITH 8K IN MY POCKET TO BUY A BARN FIND DESOTO 🤦🙄
I had a 77 camaro I ordered from the dealer for 36 years. It had a 305 and auto tranny. Just a dog. I sold it and bought a 2006 mustang gt, 5 speed, with 24,000 miles on it. At 68 years old, I got my dream car. No regrets.
Good choice. Im 50 and my 06 GT has 345k miles on it. Just had a few bolt on parts installed.
Hey D&D
Some of your veiwers, have no idea how your sense of humour works😉 My dream car has always been a 2 door 57 Belair. Man the roadster is an incredible vehicle.
Take care of One Another 😊
1965 Pontiac GTO had when I was in the US Air Force in 1987!! Man I miss that car now!!😢
Saw one fully restored today. Silver/ red interior. Flawless, restoration! Absolutely stunning.
My high school bubby had a GTO 64 convertible 389 6 pack 400 trubo trans. He still has it but needs work.
My buddies had the front lights side by side.1st year of GTO.
That’s my dream car. I have a 65 Lemans for now.
It's nice to see you show that you change as your goals in life do ... Cobra Kit Car vs new property ... no problem choosing there. 🇨🇦
Best episode of Storage Wars I've ever seen
Haha
Yuuuuuuuuuuup!
I traded a completely finished, painted, running, titled, licensed, gorgeous 1932 Ford 3W coupe highboy straight across for a partially finished, not running/driving but mostly there 1955 Nomad. 50 years before you got the 2 you have I fell in love with with those cars (a neighbor had with Cragar SS’s all around). I finally got one.
Gotta say this channel never gets boring. A+. Keep up the good work.
Awesome Cobra indeed. Keep up the great work.
That Cobra is outstanding!
Replica pos
Truly amazing to find a "rotting" cobra etc in a sort of newish container. Even more amazing was that the "rotting " cobra started so well.😅😅😅😅
Seriously
And they didn't show the old jewellers safe behind it with $3m tucked away in a secret compartment or the $2m worth of jewels and diamonds in the bottom tray either.
The convertible looks really cool Dan. Shiny red tractor paint and all. Remembering what that car looked like to begin with,,,, I think you did one hell of a good job Dan. And I don't even like convertibles.
Thanks buddy!
Yeah you bought the cobra along time ago and for the lil bit that you drive it and what it cost to store it money wise your thinking right selling it I won't miss that car like I would your nomads or your 55 speaking of 55s I think you should give the 2 lane 55 some real lovethis summer I miss seeing that car
Sold a 1972 455HO Trans Am with a 4 speed M22 Muncie for $3500 Turns out 1 of 200 in Canada. Worth a fortune today. What a dumb move. Have tried to find it but no luck! Doing a 69 GTO to make me feel better
At least 1972's "$3,500" is like "$26,000" of today's money, so it's not AS bad when you remember that was a lot of money for the time. That's pretty cool. I saw a GTO fully restored! in silver at the gas station today. A baby boomer was driving it. Probably late 60's, early 70's. It was the generation back from yours though. Top quality show grade. Just beautiful. Good luck with yours!
I picked up a 70 Superbird for $250 many years ago. I sold out for $12k the day I put it on the road (on my way to get it tagged). All original from the original owner with only 30k miles in it. I'm still kicking myself 30 years later
Dan, Daniel my brother!! You and Ms Dani are the greatest! Love to both of you.. ❤ My favorite interweb couple, best people I know.... and... the best channel on the good old TH-cam!
Nice Cobra
Someone will be lucky to own it
I'd say hang onto the convertible 57, The way you were talking sounds like it doesn't have much value, but even just a few drives a year would seem worth it and its hard to make another one with out an x frame handy.
1964 GTO... t28, 4 speed Muncie and a narrowed 9 inch... Same type thing, ai bought it with shiny paint, finished the interior in it and drove it for 5 years... Sold it and made a nice little profit, while still giving the guy a great deal. Don't regret it one bit!! Made me nervous with that nice paint on it.
😂 Funny I live just around the corner from DD for 20yrs and still have yet to bump into them....and Im a car guy drive a BLACK Z28....Weird
That's probably good nobody wants a fender bender!! 😜
Your loss. It shouldn’t be hard to find him.
Maybe your car is Too Shiny? Scares him a bit is what I hear.
MAN YOU GOT SOME BADASS CARS DAN. DRIVING BY THEM LOOKED COOLER THAN DANG IT. EXCEPT THE COBRA. DONT FIT IN
😂go knock on his door
. Take pics outside the house ... im sure it will work out for you lol
The Cobra will find a new home quickly, I think. Your price is fair. Fingers crossed. Cheers!! 😎
I had a bored 302 Chevy in my '57 Chevy wagon back in 1972. It threw a crank counterweight. Who woulda' thought! Locked up at idle. Dam the bad luck!
Nice looking cars... I had a Shell Valley Cobra in the 90's. Sold to go stock car racing. Always loved Cobras!!!
Ouch ! ..those are gonna sting ..but once you have the acreage you can Sanford and Son the place, and never part with a Hot Rod again…thanks for the vid guys, Cheers !
Cobras have always been my favorite car!!!
The beginning of this video foreshadows what the new property will look like.
Haha that would b sweet!
@@DDSpeedShopyehh one in the US :)
Great show keep up the amazing work be safe my friends God bless all
The A/C Cobra is definitely a dream car. 289/302 with a 5 speed is exactly how I'd want it.
Dan I hope the Cobra and “Convertible” 57 find new homes quickly.
You def made the right choice, keeping the Nova.
Traded in a 364,000 mile Subaru wagon my dad bought me in high school, after he had spent all of my college money on himself. I sold the last few head of cattle i had and bought a blood red 1970 ElCamino. I kept it for a couple of years and sold it as i went into the NAVY during Desert Storm. Only to find out later that it was actually a numbers matching big block SS. The farmer who owned it before me had built it to NASCAR spec and took all the SS emblems off. Nothing near as noble as buying a nice big house to hopefully further my career like you are.
I'm calling BS
Look how pretty when they are painted
I like when you work on the junk. Gives us poor guys hope.
I can’t believe how good the tractor paint on 57 “ 2 door convertible “ looks.
Love that car. Gonna miss you pulling it out of the container every summer for the 1st time. But life goes on, ah.👍
Wooden life be just awesome if they made those storage containers 6 inches wider😂
Thanks for sharing this video with us
My 2 favorite cars in one video. Awesome!
I'm in NZ my first real car was a 55 Belair 4door gaser style right hand drive as for nz standards I so miss that car .sold it for 5k back in 1982 couldn't afford to buy it back now .
Good job Danielle. Dan would be lost without your assistance
Let’s go. It’s time for another good one 👍👍
What a great car! That Cobra is s**y AF! 👍
The nicest car i ever owned (for 14,5y) and restored was a BMW e9 3.0CS, a pillarless coupe, 1975 so late production. 180hp.
The coolest car i ever bought and just hooned around in was a Porsche Boxster S 3.2L, 6speed, 250hp, quick car. It had 996 Carrera wheels. I hit Vmax of 265km/h on the German autobahn. Good times!
It`s a Cobra Dude !!! Rave-On Danni and Dan !!!!
The coolest and most fun car to drive was 1978 BMW 635 I , it would blow the doors off of a mid 80s Mustang GT after shifting into 3rd gear , they didnt have a chance , BBS 16 inch wheels and g compound tires , would literally corner so well that you would actually think it was on rails , I sold it to my best friend and made him and his dad sign a contract that if broke into , I was not to blame , because it was owned by 2 of our other friends that gave it total hell every time they got in it as did I , I once got pulled over by North Richland Hills police and didnt get a ticket for over 130 mph , the reason yhe officer didnt wrote me a ticket, his words not mine , this is a beautiful car and your a nice looking kid and I would hate to scrape you and it off the pavement one day
oh, how i wish it ws me, but.. my dad had a thing for E-Type jags... he had a 69 convertible drophead 6, and a 72 xke v12 wish he never sold the v12... he used to take me skiing in vermont in it!! dual IRS v12 in the snow!! good times!
that kit car is awsome!! that would be a hard one to sell i would set the price really high and tell the haters to piss off! i regret taking my high school truck all apart to put a big block in it and then getting married and then having kids love them all but really miss my truck i really loved that one!!!
It sounds rowdy!
Love that car, one of my all time favourites!!
I'm impressed with your collection...of cars ...ya have good taste 👍
Is it time Dan's yearly visit to the Cobra already? Time flies!
I did not know you had a cobra but it looks awesome what a great car nice color combination also 👍
When dealing with Cobra’s, everybody should listen to Bill Cosby’s story about the 700hp Super Snake Carol Shelby built him.
Gosh I heard that story in 1975 I think, while I am no longer a fan of his… I enjoyed the tale.
I've been a truck driver for over 25 years and I've never heard a shipping container referred to as a sea can 🤣. Love the channel Dan!
Guys who sell them in Nova Scotia are" The Sea Can Guys."
If it's not sold, how much would you take or would you trade for a Hot Rod 1966 Batmobile?
I bought a 87 Buick T Type with 8,000 miles for $3,500 and it was garaged and babied it whole life. It was twenty years old and thought I did great flipping it for $8,500. It was a car I wanted to keep but I thought I would never get a better offer than that. Dumb Dumb Dumb.
Dan I'm so glad I'm not in the predicament you are with so many cool cars I have to choose which ones to sell.No I really wish I had that problem lol.
Omg I love that 56 or 57 I would love to have that car in my garage that is one good looking car man I won't it but can't afford it I know u got a good deal for it man love that car
Not sure if it looks as good in person but wow that paint turned out good on that ‘57 considering what it was it looks great!
That Thing Is Rowdy! 🔥
Amazing he's more interested in the loose gear shift than the no water potential.
Sold my dream car - 1968 Dodge Charger 440, Plum Crazy Purple. Life sometimes really bites you... I miss that car everyday.
Had a 71 Z28. Mulzane Blue with Black stripes. Bought it in 94 in Saskatchewan. Moved to Brandon Manitoba and was moving back to Sask in 95 and needed the money and sold it😪 I`ve owned a pile of vehicles and that one hurt the most. Still is in Brandon and I won`t enter the city cause I don`t want to see it 😂
That’s one sweet ride
Nicest car I ever bought and sold was my '21 GT500. I thought for sure I wanted that car but only put 1000 miles on it the first year I owned it. I was scared to put miles on it and scared to modify it. Anything would lower the value and that thought hung over me like a dark cloud. I bought my '69 nova and the Shelby just sat. Dealer offered me so much over what I paid for the Shelby, It's like I got the Nova for free. Now I miss having a newer Mustang but next year I hope to pick up a nice 21+ Mach1 or older '16+ GT350.
Cobra always cool 😎👌💨💨
When I was younger I had a '71 Mustang and every time I took it to the Old Man car shows I'd have some Numb nut say "Oh yeah, these are the ugly years". Drove me crazy.
Those people were stupid. I love em!👍
Well, they're right. It's not personal. Beauty and ugly are both in the eye of the beholder. I've personally always like that gen ok but I also see why many don't too.
I have a 71 coupe now, Its time has come I think , gets a lot of positive attention , not many on the road anymore
@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism Do you walk up to people and talk crap about their car in front of them? It's rude.
@@MikeWolf-427 No. I agree that is rude. I see cars I'm not into, like for me it's those car/trucks like the chevy el camino. I loath the things but I'm not going to tell a guy at a car show I think they're ugly lol. I'll just walk past it and go look at a car I like.
I bet they hear a lot from people who don't like them too though.
That cobra is really a nice car even if it's a kit car 🚙 hopefully the next owner will love it as much as you did 😊
Thanks for the like DD SPEED SHOP
Nice Cobra!😎👍🖤⭐️🕊🦋🕊🙏✌️Thanks for sharing DD!🙌
Thanks for the video Both cars are beautiful
GREAT EPISODE NICE CAR 🚘🚗🚘
Once you have your dream property with a shop and a lift and a place to put all your stuff in one place you will forget about these cars and we all know that you can definitely build wtf you want.
That's the plan.
For sure. He'll have no regrets at all.
Bravo Sierra
I guess if you don't drive it anymore, it's time to let go-? I owned a '68 400 Firebird, I regret selling that, but it was getting rusty. I also let a really nice '69 SS 396 375 Camaro, 4 speed, go. THAT one I really regret! I also let a re-honed, still original bore size, '67 L-88 engine go. It had the grooved-cam setup that has oiling problems if you don't know what it is. You're livin' the dream, a Cobra and Camaro in the garage. I'd think you would regret selling the Cobra...
Danni needs a Sea Can to leave Dan in... Your life would be sooo much easier Danni!😆
I could use the break...
She’s real nice Clark.
Was it really rotting? How did it get wet?
Dan, show us how good you can make it look with Black rattle can spray!😆
The '57's paint is fantastic
Tractor paint if I remember correctly.
Very nice Dan and Dani
WOW what beautiful 57 chevy convertable too. Big money on that find.
Is that second car a Carole Shelby Cobra my favorite car. Please show the car from outside. Look on the frame in engine campartment stamped on the frame should be CS and some numbers if it has that the frame is a real Carole Shelby Cobra.
I’ve seen one parked at my bank I waited until the owner came outside we talked he open engine compartment showed me the CS plus numbers it is a
$ 500,000.00 car, to me there is no body sexier built than a Carole Shelby Cobra. WOW omg where did ya find my car LOL.
Love both of those cars, and you and Dani are a hoot!
Nicest car I ever had I got a few years after college in the early 80s...'64 Corvette conv, no matching numbers, but a 700+hp 327, Muncie 4 speed, with road race suspension. Paint job a 20 footer in dark blue...mint interior. Fast as stink...5mpg...always put a smile on my face! Sold it to finance music gear when I was playing in a hard rock band....and golly yes I wish I still had it!!!
really awesome car mate
I’m in my sixty’s, wadda you think my answer to your question at the end is Dan…makes me a little sick…Anyway can tell you in detail every classic I ever owned and regret selling every single one ! The. Umber matching ones , break my heart !
If these were forgotten in any way or this was the first time he saw them there is about 0% chance that battery has enuf juice to even try turn that motor over. This is staged af
Exactly my thought.
Sounds great ..cool car
I forgot how good that roadster thing turned out.
Is the 30 000 in Canadian money ? Is it still for sale ?
You find out when next Barrett Jackson action is. take it there you get good price on that.
That car 🚘 would be a blast for the money 💰
I have never sold any of the cars I have bought because everyone always misses their first or whatever car. Plus I hate the thought of seeing it trashed in the junk yard.
Never regretted trading cars or car parts for land. I drew the line at tools. That's how I got there.
Dan here, DD Speed Shop.
Now what I won't to know is how much did u pay for them super nice
Do y’all still have Daniels blue/gray 80s Caprice?
think the 57 roadster make it to georgia might being your dad’s hood
If I found one of those in a storage unit, you would have to pry it out of my cold dead hands!!
If you find the Cobra a couple more times, You guys will be able to buy and pay cash for all the properties you want, 😁😁😁
Haha fingers crossed
He had already been there!
I have a356 RHD I get the is real all the time, what makes me mad is when people start knocking on the car.
Dan in a Speedo oh boy!
Dig It. 👍 It's a Nice to have car. Bye guys
