In a clear violation of a Supreme Court order against handcuffing or restraining women, the Jharkhand Police today allegedly tied a 23-year-old girl with a rope around her waist after arresting her from her residence in Alwar.
The sister-in-law of Aparna alias Paru, who resides in Garhwa, had filed a dowry harassment case against her husband, father-in-law Dinesh Kumar and mother-in-law, accusing them of harassing her.
Upon raiding the house in Bank Colony, the police found Aparna's parents and brother missing. The cops questioned Aparna and arrested her as she too was an accused.
Aparna was kept tied at the Railway police station in Alwar and later escorted to Jharkhand in a train in the same manner. Locals and the eyewitnesses captured the entire episode on their mobile phones.

This girl got arrested because dowry & harassment complaint was filed against her family by her Bhabhi. This is so sad that despite clear instructions from SC, not to make any arrest in dowry/harassment cases without prior investigation/inquiry, police, all over the country, continue to arrest people just upon complaint, without inquiry . Upon investigation, more than 80% of these cases are found to be filed with ulterior motive, false & fabricated.
When such wrong doings are done, the police should be sacked from service, just not suspended.
Hope action has been taken on the illiterate police.
Due to lack of awareness about the law that's why this police officer is doing such an disgusting act , they don't have a proper knowledge of any laws. The senior officer should teach them bt they keep dealing with official arrangements
