      @@DjaildoQSjr Yeah, that is the major problem with the liberal democracy system. Politicians are always busy doing power grabbing games every 4 or 5 years. It is damaging enough for the first world countries like US, Canada, Australia etc. but it would be way worse for a third world country where the priority should be lifting people out of poverty!

      @@DjaildoQSjr Depends on who you mean by "they". If you are talking about Taiwan or Hong Kong, those aren't doing so well. The Uyghurs aren't having a very good time under the CCP, they need to be removed for the belt and road initiative. Look at what happened to Tibet. Their government is corrupt and out for power. China has accomplished great things but at huge cost. Mao Zedong accomplished something great, the Great Leap Forward, but there was an incredible price to pay. Xi Jinping is not a good person and doesn't have the prosperity of all Chinese people in mind, only a select few.

    First build the fast road so that mateials can be transported quickly. Then the rail follow with increased trades, job opportunities, more economic activities and fast routes to sell local products/produces to a larger customer base.
    Loas will move with China to a better future.

    • @gunsumwong3948
      @gunsumwong3948 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think it is a kind of BOT which is Build, Operate and Transfer. This means Laos pays nothing. China builds it, maintains it and charges toll for vehicles using it and after an agreed period China gives the entire road back to Laos. This is a typical arrangement done all over the world.
