I enjoyed the video-felt myself longing for views of the rapids while you paddled. But then, I can’t complain, since I couldn’t even have done what you did!
only thing i gotta say? you can. i paddle the top 20 of the allegheny all summer and would absolutely love to guide a few down. Its a personal passion of mine the top 20 and i have done it literally 100's of times. Anyone happens to watch this and is interested? let me know, i have a similarly experienced friend and we can def garauntee a safe and exciting trip anywhere from 2 mi to 14.3mi. Theres spring floods up here march-may so the gauge jumps but we have done everything from 100cfs to 5000cfs and can make your adventure happen!
to put it out there...my buddy and I are rather amazing on our stretch of the river. Come on up and experience us. You neither will ever feel safer or for the more professional you'll never be more prepared for the turns. I have no doubt given the chance you will be amazed by the adventure!
Now as long as you didn't hear any banjos in those parts you should be ok. Did you end up finding any maps for the sections that were otherwise undocumented? I only live a little ways from Cassadaga Lakes and it might be interesting to see how far up I can start and get to since the Cassadaga Creek eventually feeds the Alleghany
Hi. Loved your video. I just happened upon it when looking for overnight canoe trips in Pa. Im from southwestern Pa and am looking to do my first canoe camping trip. Unfortunately I dont know anyone else who like to do this. How do I meet up with others to trip with? Thanks!
Do you think any point prior to coudersport is realistically navigable? I've seen a few bridges on google maps that look like the river could be about 15ft or so wide, not sure how deep.
@@jaredanderson7494 Hello from 2 years ago! I live in Coudersport and an important thing to know is where the river goes through the borough it is in a concrete channel that is very fast and shallow. On the upstream side of Coudersport the Allegheny is very shallow and narrow and I suspect you would be spending a lot of time out of your boat wading through the water. The Mill Creek joins the Allegheny in Coudersport and probably doubles its size.
As a foreigner is't nice to know where you are, just because of a Bruce Willis movie! 😄
Where did you start? Kinsua Dam? Please show more scenery along the river and please mention towns. Thank you!
how was the fishing?
Not good. We saw carp at the dam we could have bow fished for.
My friends and I paddle that first 20 mile stretch two or three times a summer it’s so nice! Always wanted to do a long trip like this.

I actually had a go pro set up for the rapids. I had technical issues with it. Thanks for watching.
Burning River Bushcraft Aw, bummer! I wondered, having seen other videos of yours!
@@kathydomokos3265 I am thinking of firing my camera man because of that.

There is not much documentation on that river.
My favorite river! Did you go by Olean?
That doesn't ring a bell.
Olean is upriver from the Kinzua Dam which is where they started
did you have to portage at all?
Zero portages. The river depth is controlled by a dam
@@BurningRiverBushcraft Kinzua Eh? Im very very very very familiar from Kennerdell - Emlenton
ON MY COMPUTER, THE WHOLE VIDEO WAS BLURRY.
That's the 1st issue I've heard have you tried it on a mobile device ?

Thanks for watching. There are liveries in the area that might set you up with a group. Solo is fine too. Enjoy your trip.
I'm in to do overnight canoe trips! I'm in Southeastern PA though. lol

Had to give it a thumbs down, sorry, you only did one third of the river.
I kid...

It's hard to say. There is surprisingly very little information on the area.
