My beef with La Boeuf is that they seem like so many other pens. Compare that with what is now coming out of Italy, Gioia and Nettuno par example. When you consider that fountain pens aren't difficult to manufacture and are hugely overpriced, it does seem that style must rule to rationalize the price. In that department, La Boeuf is underdone. Props!

Excepting the grip section and the little ball at the end of the clip, these look like Esterbrook’s pens.
I know. I thought long and hard about mentioning that but I honestly think it is very obvious.
Looks like those pens have true grit, and only a coward like Tom Chaney would say they don’t.
