Is there anything special I need to do extra in order to remove the rgb light on my board?

You just de-solder the enable jumper by the led

I love despite the 5000000 games that were built in , it still has a cartridge port.

      No expense spared 😂
I need to find that card. I was using it as a test card in my Famicom

That's great video thank you. Q1 where you bought that chip? And how the sound look like after replacing it.?

This famiclone has been made for the arabian market in the 90`s . good job repairing it .

I love your power vamp mod, it worked great - but I did get jailbars, likely not from your mod but from the famicom itself - after trying various fixes on the internet (I mustve tried most of the fixes people post) - I found placing a 22 uH inductor in series with the video output completely removed my jailbars. So anyone looking for a fix for jailbars, try that

That sounds super interesting. It blows my mind that there can be so much variations on the units. I heard it is the Ricoh chips causing the noise themselves 🤦
I have just been using this system to pay some Spartan X. Such a classic and appropriate game!

@@backofficeshow I tried adding caps all over the place, I lifted a pin off of the video processor, and the transistor next to it - and mod wiring them together (my poor famicom 🤣) none of those helped - I was about to go all out and just lift the video chip and put some copper tape under it, when I found a post on reddit about adding a 10uH inductor - that worked very well, but I found a 22uH gave a perfect picture

That's great, you sounds like you are having better luck with your main board, I've had them die just from looking at them 😂 Perhaps there is a nice way to add the inductor mod onto the vamp board, might be better to keep mods away from the fragile FC board.

@@backofficeshow on your board I cut the trace for the video signal - and soldered the inductor between that resistor near there and the video connector. works a treat 💪

Most famiclones are crap but some are much better than the original one!

I wonder if the chip in a blob solutions managed to avoid some of the pitfalls of the original Ricoh chipset.

Many famiclones have very bad jail bars due pure build or even designed boards . Some of them have fake RCA audio video outputs and only RF , others are vice versa. Some have just missing elements from the power board so no functioning AV eather. In most of them the transistor for the video is mounted not on the main board , but all away to the power one, so the picture is dark and with jail bars . Despite that the lable for that transistor is on the main board. actually some clones do not even have a place for this transistor... So most of them can be fixed by adding a transistor and 2 resistors directly to the closest point of the video out to elemiante or reduce the jail bars , additional capacitor to the cloasest - and + to the NOAC IC help as well. But despite all of that some clones still retains those stupid jail bars no metther what . I repeated a near 15 various clones from the mid to late 90's.
