Thank you for documenting that period in that beautiful peaceful city, I lived there from 1976 to 1988. Really it was the best time of my life. Wish the best for your gorgeous family.
I'm ridiculously grateful this video exists! God the flood of memories. I was eight in 1988. Grew up and lived in beautiful Sharjah until 1995. You got so many of the places I went and still remember. Zero crowds, relaxed pace. It feels like I can still smell the air watching this video. Thank you so much for sharing it. Absolutely made my morning.
Thank you so much for this video. I was born and raised in Sharjah, I still live here. I currently live in the area between 9:02 to 9:05 on the main road right opposite the museum so watching this video is a real nostalgia trip for me. Thank you so much once again for sharing this
11:09 the Khuzam area with a lot of sand and barely a handful of houses.. and Ras Al Khaimah Hotel of 1988! Was born in RAK in October 1985 and lived about 6km away from RAK hotel in the Al Nakheel area till I moved back to India at the age of 17! Thank you for this video documenting the good old days of the 80s UAE! Brings back a lot of wonderful childhood memories😊
I was working there in 1988 at Al jallaf trading at Al wehda Street before I migrate to Australia I love UAE 🇦🇪 specialy sharjah So many memories back then for 5 years.
Thanks for this! Was born and raised in Sharjah. To think that I was somewhere there close to clock tower, running around as a three year old while you're in hospital is pretty heavy.
My dear friend, Thank you so much for sharing such a Video, I was deeply touched specially when I saw Ajman Post office where my Father worked for over 25 years. Greetings from Ajman and you will be always welcomed in the United Arab Emirates.
I lived in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah for a couple of years. I came to UAE somewhere around 2007-2008. To me, UAE was a country that provides its visitors a unique sense of tranquility and peace compared to other Middle Eastern countries. Despite it being a predominantly Muslim nation, UAE is a country that respects people belonging to all sorts of ethnicities, races and other worldly differences.
Unfortunately the continental hotel was deserted last year and they plane to knock it down Or something it was a famous landmark of sharjah . There is a copy of it in Qatar .
I grew up in Sharjah. Used to be beautiful. Now it's all gone to shit... the corniche is nice, but the rest of the city has gone to the dumps... sad :(

@@Pudlis16 Why was that? Construction everywhere?
@@ColtraneTaylor too many people coming in, zealots at the head of government, no development plans at all.
@@Pudlis16 I see.
