What a terrible experience with the guest relations, I would be brassed off too. And there you are back in your room and pretty much all they've done is dry out the carpet. If you have another storm, use every towel you can get your hands on and wedge them into the door seal area - numpties the lot of them. Ive not been to Perth but it is on the list. Thank you for another great series.
Another fun vlog. You two know how to keep us entertained. My husband laughed out loud about the shrinking trousers, he has the same problem. Heading for our first Celebrity cruise in 16 days and love watching you guys - keeps us going till embarkation day. Two Scots living in Canada and hope to meet you some day 😄
Love your videos! I'm here for more Paulie Moments. 😀You guys are so real and honest, which is really, really appreciated. I found this series searching Windstar vs Azamara, so maybe go on Windstar next!
Thanks Angie, that's great to hear! Overall our Azamara experience was great around the ship, they do so many things really well. Just shame about our cabin experience!
It’s fabulous that Donna and Gavin showed you the best sights…it’s the best way to get around a city you are unfamiliar with….if you did it yourself I’m sure you wouldn’t have experienced as much…loving the vlogs…I’m not envious in the least 🤥🤥 x
So glad you made it to the Main Dining Room! I am not a fan of Buffets and We pay so much for these Azamara Cruises I just want to be served. Our most recent cruises and our upcoming Greece Cruise on Azamara have/will be in Club Continent Suites and they come with Specialty Dining included each night. I like to pop into Discoveries just for a change from Specialty Dining.
Perth looks like a beautiful city! I would love to visit both Perth and Melbourne someday. A lack of clear communication from the crew can be so confusing and frustrating! We had a similar experience with the main dining room on our last cruise.
I look forward to these. Thank you. Over Christmas/New Year, when we were doing a round trip from Adelaide to New Zealand, we Had to get of when we got to Melbourne and wait for a couple of hours (we stayed in the terminal due to my partner's disability). The ship had to be emptied of all passengers. We then had to go through immigration and reboarded the ship . Then on the way back, the ship had to be empty again and we waited a couple of hours and then got back on. Princess did provide a free shuttle to take people into the city for those who wanted it. It was a requirement of border security apparently
Must say you are both very good in your video blogging skills! Another enjoyable blog. You covered so much. Am impressed with the content you filmed and I was very interested in the update you gave about your dealings with the ship's guest services. Can't wait for your next one blog im this series.
We had a similar immigation experience on a Princess cruise. Due to hurricanes in September we ended up a day early at New York, It was lucky in some ways because they had a zero count stance. Evryone had to get off before anyone can back on. It is harder with 3000 cruisers and strict officials. That all took place a day early but there was a torrential downpour in the aftermath of the hurricanes, the disappointment was that there were no shuttle buses or taxis because we were are a day early. No excursions for the same reason and the ferry's had a meltdown. Here is the bummer, Princess doesnt dock in the midst of Manhattan, they dock at Brooklyn cruise terminal whuch is an industrial port. Here is something to check. Royal Caribbean group ships dock in New Jersey - even further away. Carnival Coporation ships dock at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal - Princess, Cunard etc. That may not be totally accurate but worth checking. It is a bit like going to Rome and docking 2 hours drive away.
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Lets hope you dock at Manhattan. I had a quick look at the cruise schedule for New York on Whatsinport and it does say Brooklyn. I must say the views from the ship at Brooklyn terminal are very good.
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel I cant remember but it must do because ti goes past Governors Island. I dont know how long you have got but if you have never been to New York consider the harbour cruise. We booked through the cruise ship and thoroughly enjoyed it, bear in mind Judith is not very mobile so it suited us.
Really enjoyed the photo montage of Perth. What a beautiful city. How lovely to have Donna and Gavin as tour guides! Did you ever find out who swapped Paul’s new trousers with the smaller sizes? 😉
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel I am not sure. I am going on a Cunard coach tour around New York. They had I think 3 options of excursions available . I have heard from other people the Ellis Island was not worth it as you have to get the ferry with everybody else and its very busy. I am just doing a four hour tour of the famous hi lights. Needed to get an Esta . I think everyone needed an Esta if you just get off for immigration too. Be interested to know how many people do do the round trip. Sadly for loyalty perks etc.. it’s not counted as two cruises. It has its own cruise reference . 2 x internet allowance would have been good.
@@Philippa- If it's not counted for 2 cruises why are they making you get off, that is unfair for loyalty. Thankfully Esta are easy to complete and last for 3 years so thats good. Look forward to seeing what you think!
We recently had to get off on B2B also. But same card used etc. quick check through immigration after a few hours. No hassles. But everyone onboard had a different story of what to do. It’s a joke
Great vlog series. I was very surprised at the level of compensation you received as we had a similar experience and got a begrudgingly $250 that they had already promised us because of an embarcation port change 😂 I just don't think Azamara warrant the price to quality ratio. And I'm still having nightmares over those bathrooms 😂

Have done lots of B/Bs,and always have to get right off the ship and when all guests are off, back onboard.Usually doesn't take long at all.
Yes not sure why ours was so muddled!
I remember you talking about Paul carrying Carole's shoes and here it is..........lol.
Lol! 🤣

We agree, the best way to see a city! Donna and Gavin were the best, and such great company too!
Those cabin wardrobes do shrink your clothes and it doesn’t seem to matter which cruise line either! 😂😂
I know, you would have thought they would have sorted the problem by now😆😆

I have a special couple of pairs of trousers that I take for any cruise over 2 weeks in length. I think the AC shrinks the trousers. .
LOL that will be it, the AC! 😂
Another great vlog and I think you are both very patient with guest services!
Thanks so much Yvonne! 😍

Adding my favorite place on Azamara is the Living Room
Yes another excellent venue!
Have to say that I’d never sail Azamara after seeing these videos….

Maybe a silly question but if you cruise out of Brooklyn do you cruise past the statue of liberty?

Donna and Gav were fabulous, we felt very privileged to have them show us round! Lol no we didn't! 🤣🤣
I have to get off on my back to back Transatlantic on Queen Mary 2 in April.

Strange isn't it that there are no same rules for all ships!

That shrinkage is a problem
It certainly was!
Is that a Christmas tree kangaroo
It is! 😍
Poor service is proof that it is not a luxury cruise.
