    I followed all the steps in this video and I got the result when the inlet velocity is at 0.1 m/s. However, When I changes the inlet velocity from 0.1 m/s to 40 m/s, there was no rotational velocity developed. What is the reason? is there any relation between inlet velocity and velocity at the wall?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the velocity is high enough for the small geometry, which might be suppressing the effect of rotation. Which caused it hard to observe the rotation simulation.

    • @yassinalkassar9876
      @yassinalkassar9876 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AnsysTutor Thank you for your reply. However, I have an experimental setup for the same model and I am getting the effect of rotational speed in my experiment regardless of inlet speed. In my experimental setup, my inlet velocity is always higher than the rotational one. But in modelling, it is only showing the effect of rotational speed for a small range of inlet speeds. Can you kindly comment your views on this?

    How could you simulate a fluid that reverses its direction regularly. I am currently trying to learn how to simulate an oscillating water column, in which the airflow direction reverses as a water level oscillates up and down, however there is very little information about this online.

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to use dynamic meshing approach for such simulation.

    What is the function of precision and double precision also what is contours?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Double precision results provide more accurate results than single precision. Contours are the graphical representation of the parameter that varies in the domain.

    Sir iam new to cfd and my doubt is why do we use a solid cylinder as a pipe rather than a hollow cylinder?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that is the fluid domain. The pipe solid body has not been created. Its the only outer surface of the solid cylinder which denotes the pipe inner wall.

    • @GURPALSINGH-zo2qs
      @GURPALSINGH-zo2qs 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AnsysTutor ok sir so basically we are not concerned about the structure we are just making a path for fluid to flow?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the analysis of flow behaviour. We can also create the pipe body similar to the real life object, but for simplicity and to reduce the computation time, we only focus on the flow domain.
