The "Two hunters meet" joke doesn't translate well: the German word used in this joke also means to hit (sth.) in the context of collisions and balistics. So it's 2 hunters meet/hit. Both die.

Czech and Polish, being both West Slavic languages, have a ton of similar or related words. They're still different, and certain differences in their vocab or pronunciation are perceived as funny by their speakers. In particular:
- Words that started with pre-, pri- or similar in Proto-Slavic now begin with př- in Czech (Czech ř is by itself an incredibly cursed sound that I'll probably never get right), while in Polish the beginning consonants became prz-, pronounced "psh-". For Czechs, hearing ř pronounced as sh just feels like a lisp.
- Some words Made in Czechia(tm) resemble the ways Polish makes diminutives, or even correspond to outright vulgarities (for instance czech word for girl is dívka, while its polish equivalent dziwka means whore/slut) (interestingly, these two words have a duplicate in both languages, děvka / dziewka, with reverse meanings)

In Polish the "zh" phoneme changes into the "sh" phoneme after devoiced consonants, such as "p" "t" and "k" It is called "progressive devoicing" and as far as I know Polish is more prone to progressive assimilation, unlike other Slavic languages. Polish kwiat is pronounced as: "kfyat" while Czech květ is pronounced as "kvyet". Which makes Polish sound like walking through dry leaves. I don't really get the whole neutral form nouns resembling Polish diminutives, because while some do sound cutesly, not every single one is a diminutive. I'm more fascinated with replacing "g" with "h"

Polish should just switch to Cyrillics like the rest of Slavic languages. Latin alphabet just doesn't have enough letter to convey everything

@@CoolGobyFish So are French, Spanish, Portuguese, Norwegian, Icelandic...etc diacritics are not uncommon and are not featured only in Slavic languages. We use Latin script, and we have done so for centuries and it works. There's been an attempt to create a Polish Cyrillic in the 19th century and nobody wanted to use it. Convenient or not Polish will continue to use Latin.
