Thank you all for tuning in and checking out our labor of love. This project means a lot to us and we're thrilled to share it with you. What was your favorite part? Did you expect it to turn out the way it did??
Chris Cortez has created a complete story without a word spoken. A poetic martial arts ballet of passion. This 6 minute film is art at it's highest level delivered with extreme emotional action.
Absolutely fan-reakin-TASTIC!! The fighting was unsurprisingly GREAT, and the cinematography was GOREGEOUS, but I was definitely caught off guard by the emotion and romance that undercut the motion. The score at first felt like a misplaced track, but very quickly I realized just why it worked so well. This was a fight neither one wanted, and neither wanted to win, but also couldn't afford to lose. Tragic, beautiful, can't wait for what's next!!
i am saying this a a professional choreographer myself: this was absolutely fantastic. the pacing, the movements, the viewpoints of the camera, the emotion, the clear visibility of the choreography. better than most anything i've seen put to film (short OR feature length). outstanding job, to everyone involved. this was a breath of fresh air.
This is incredible. So many emotions and not a single word. The looks, the intention of each action, movement and attack. The fact that the choreo was more dance like at times as well. Just superb. Brilliantly shot. The water really leant itself well to the overall melancholic feeling and allowed for some truly cool shots. I mean using the reflection was amazing. A great story of conflict, love, duty and loss. 🥺 Phenomenal work by all involved. Also, i’m now in love with this song,
Thanks Dan! Chris built an awesome world and characters which himself and Chau brought to life so beautifully. Really glad you enjoyed the reflection shot, I thought about cutting it many times :)
Such a blessing to be a part of this. What a brilliant short film. Goodness, I absolutely love it when actions drive a story- but this is one of the rare few that also catapults a powerful emotional stake behind it as well. Without a single word uttered. It comes together beautifully. Masterpiece.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Beautifully done. The story-telling, the fight choreography, the camera work. Hundreds of specific artful choices made adding up to six minutes that really make you lean in. Just wow. Congratulations.
@@RogueOriginFilms I'd do a sad "still waiting" meme if TH-cam supported GIFs, but please know this isn't forgotten, and I bet I'm not the only one who'd love to see the next chapter!
@@andrewelder2739 we had to focus on some other things for a bit - but we released a few other original shorts like cybernetic exorcism and we’ve got another one coming soon that you’ll probably enjoy! Association is definitely a project we want to pursue more of!
Wow... so amazing. So beautifully Is koreographed and so sad. I can't imagine having to kill the woman i loved to save my brother. 😢Amazing short film. Great job.
