Everyone did great but jimin ate this whole performance for me. I just couldn't take eye off him.
The 7 members solo stage has a meaning;
1st V : as god of sun, Apollo
2nd Jin : as god of war, Aries
3rd Jimin : as goddess of the moon, Artemis
4th Suga : as god of fire, Hephaestus
5th JK : as god of sea/water, Poseidon
6th Hobi : as god of light, Zeus
7th RM : as god of wine, Dionysus

Well done, guys: one of your best reactions ever. I love the way you all needed to pause and reflect. Actually you kinda needed to do that several times, but at the end you showed true respect to what you had just seen. I love that.
There are many things that other ARMYs will tell you about this production, but one thing that we seem to need to emphasise is that this was "just" an award show. I agree that it must be one of the best performances, not only from BTS, but from the whole team, from producers to runners. BTS do have a huge team behind their productions which they themselves respect enormously. I like that. I also like how RM does not talk about "the band" but about "the team". I've heard other Kpop stars use the same term. It acknowledges that 'the band' would not be 'the band' without all the people working to support them - which actually includes support staff and admin. Another reflection of this is how Hobi hates the term 'backup dancers', because they are dancers just as much as everyone in BTS, and the impact of performances relies on them just as much.
I don;t know why I got onto this particular hobby horse this time, but indeed this is a huge and spectacular performance which relied on every single individual involved. I'm so glad that you appreciated it so openly and directly. Thanks for sharing your reaction with us.
One of the best measures of a performer is how they treat the team around them. The first time I saw Jungkook bow low to the cleaning staff my heart warmed. They don't usually get the respect they deserve. JK is incredibly gifted, but he doesn't think he's more important than anyone else.
There are too many examples to count - it really is just how they treat people - but I really loved seeing Hobi working with the staff for his listening party. Checking in with everyone individually at the end, thanking them for their work. He hugged the catering staff! People like that make you want to do your best for them.
Taetae was wild in boy in luv, I'm a new fan of his growling 🤣

The DIONYSUS choreo wasn’t composed for singers but dancers. I am AMAZED they pulled it off!!!
You can hear how stable and flawless JK's vocals are. His stage presence is insane. And how his and Hobi's dance duo in the Dionysus dance break is the best. Both performing flawlessly. Thanks for the awesome reaction!
this performance has always given chills , at the end when the horses come in and they sit at the back with so much intimating its like they are telling that u are in our area , in our kingdom and we 7 kings rule it, it's so freaking majestic and they all are versatile and so very talented 😌 , thank you guys for your amazing reaction totally enjoyed it and loved it borahae!!!!💜💜💜
Well they are performing 'Dionysus' who is the God of Wine. RM plays Dionysus. They are all playing the God's and Goddess of Greek Mythology so they acted that really well as the look down on the mere humans.

2019 mma really blows my mind. and to think this is from an award show! imagine performing right after BTS!😂
some parts though were pre-recorded like mikrokosmos and some of the solos. jimin's was live, you can even see the rose jin threw on the floor. jk danced live too (but not in water). the parts with horses were prerecorded too (for safety).
but nevertheless, it's still amazes me how they seamlessly were able to weave in & out of the live and recorded parts. you wouldn't be able to tell.
dionysus part was just on another level. there is a dance practice for that if you are interested. you will be able to see all the details of the choreography there.
The whole performance, everyone was legendary 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I believe only Jimin and RM's solo were live other's solo were prerecorded. Jimin changed his mind last minute and wanted hisd performance live. BTS performances is the best ever
No jungkook's was live... Other MEMBERS also thought it was pre-recorded but later they were surprised after knowing he was doing live.

Only BTS do this kind of performance in a award show..even when BTS hasn't an Idol..K-pop idol just dance normal as the other K-pop idols..only BTS have this huge set of stage and dancers..even their clothes..the props..on this awards night, bts won the 4 major awards same in the other awards show on that year..record,album,song and artist of the year..all of the songs they used on this performance are all BTS song..v- no more dream,..jin- danger..jimin- i need you..suga- fire..jungkook- save me..

2018 MMA is amazing, too, but nothing tops this performance. Can you imagine being some other band sitting there and watching this, knowing that you have to try to compete with BTS somehow? I'd just throw in the towel.
Jimin is the #1 contemporary dancer in his school. He got a flexible body and he can flip high in the air. OT7 are really great dancer and singer. They can sing and dance at the same time. No lip sync they did it live. They practice in the treadmill while singing. They practice 12 to 16 hrs a day.

i love all of them. V is my bias and his stage presence is always on point 😩💜 they turn award shows into their concerts, it’s not even an award show anymore.
Jimin's other amazing dance is when he's dancing blindfolded and had to be lead onto the stage. Jimin starts the dance then J-Hope dances then they dance together along side each other while Jimin is still blind folded, they dance in unison. It's 'Boy meets Evil'. so Jimin part of the stage is red and J-Hope's side of the stage is blue. I think that's I've got the colours right way around.

Many are so blown away by the whole performance, they miss my fave part towards end of Dionysus. When members fall backwards off end of long table, 2 different members are lifted back up . Brilliant
Hear me out, that aint a tv show. That is an award show. Basically like Billboards but for Korea. And they absolutely turned it into their own concert
BTS debut in 2013 and the MMA and Mama awards shows happen every year at the end of year. Just look up MMA OR MAMA and the year and BTS , it is good to watch them in order to see how they grew and the budget involved. BTS have always put other acts to shame with their creativity and style. In the beginning they were not given much time but as they took over the industry more time was given and it became the highlight of the show.
Mikrosmos was pre-recorded elsewhere earlier where only ARMY's were in the audience and the digital effects added later.
BTS spent 3 mths practicing for this performance and the reason they got such a long time slot was due to other Idol groups management boycotting the awards that year. It was a huge expectation and burden placed on top of BTS shoulders to fill in all that time.
No judges in audience, it was cutting to other Idols watching the performance.
I'm very surprised you didn't get a copywrite strike. Next time for any award show performances such as MMA's or MAMA, always block out the show's name and the Melon or Mnet channels when editing.

Jungkook’s vocals and stage presence are untouchable- the nation’s pride and main vocalist.. his vocals stability, versatility, uniqueness and mastering at any technique, smooth rap, while performing and dancing so energetic, strong and clean .. he is truly something else. the most talented and all-rounder K-pop idol . The only Ace and Face of K-pop for a reason.

‘Mikrokosmos’ stage is the only pre-recording
BTS has commented on how the lights, the light bombs and or phones, look like stars to them from the stage. Mikrokosmos is about 7 biilion stars representing seven billion lives and how we are all important and have meaning. Their sing is incredible. Their dancing is amazing. Their lyrics are powerful, impactful and out of this world.
