Anyone else lay in bed late at night listening to these while u fall asleep? It's relaxing IMO.. absolutely love "guess the program" so glad they did an omnibus. My bed time entertainment is now set for tonight
@@b0n3s this and STW(something to wrestle with Bruce Prichard) I can listen to those two all night to fall a sleep too. I usually use a Bluetooth speaker but mine broke so now I just use the speaker on my phone and puty phone next to my pillow. Works just as good I guess
I’m not a regular listener, but I tune in fairly often. I didn’t realize they did “Guess the Program” enough to make a 5hr omnibus, but I’m happy to see it.
As of two weeks ago, there is now (2) five hour omnibuses for "Guess the program". Just wanted to tag you, on the off chance that you are still not a regular listner.
bummer how very little of these programs there are to see just on a google search, because I had zero concept of what these programs even are before hearing this
Jim and Brian have killer chemistry, no matter the topic. They both know their roles perfectly and keep things at a steady level. Brian knows when and how to reel Corny in, Jim knows how to loosen Brian up without needling him.
@@davidbernardi3410 Wow, you now this is the first time I've realised they have the same first names as the killer bees. Makes me wonder why I never realised that before reading this comment, weird.
About an hour in, Brian and Jim talk about the Iron Russians in reference to the card from Marion, OH. I don't know who the other one was, but one of the Iron Russians also wrestled as Killer JD Kent and is the guy that initially trained Bobby Fulton. I only know this because he used to work as a security guard with my wife and told me quite a few stories from the 50s and 60s of being attacked my old ladies and other wild stories.
I didn't know they used to have wrestling in Marion. I've lived here all my life and didn't know that although I suspect I'm quite a bit younger than you.
Love Guess the Program. Listening to this made me start buying more programs. My favorite are from St Louis Wrestling Club. Where do you buy them? I’ve only found them on eBay really.
I used to listen to those Guess the Program videos one after another, I guess I missed some of these or I never realised there was over 5 hours of content
HOW THE HELL DOES BRIAN KNOW MALDEN MISSOURI??? Malden is in the Boot Heel of MO. A town of 4,200, a stone throw from Arkansas. All that town had was watermelon, cotton fields, and a cute red head named Kenna 20 years ago…As a Puerto Rican kid from Queens I felt nervous as hell there.
This is TOO fun. I love these so much. If this was a regular segment. Awesome. Honestly if there's things that are more fun for you guys ( Brian & Jim) please do them!! I like the watch-alongside too. Flair RR win was great. More (old) Royal Rumbles would be really fun. Gives you guys so many Wrestlers to talk about.
Could someone please invest in a new chair for Mr. Last before all the numerous clips combined of Brian fighting with his chair becomes its own omnibus?
George Becker wrestled and promoted for a lot of years, from the '30s into the '70s. Near the end of his life he was married to the original Joyce Grable, Joyce Fowler, who also wrestled as Barbara Nichols in the 1960s. The other, better-remembered Joyce Grable, who often teamed up with Vicki Williams, was named Betty Wade, now Betty Wade-Murphy.
The next Omnibus should be all clips in which Jim explains wrestling history - not just his role in it, or booking, and show dates as in the JCP Omnibus etc. Clips where Cornette explains what shoots are, how moves evolved, certain wrestlers, certain events, iconic moments, matches from the past, clips where Jim speaks about WCCW and his dealings with the Von Erichs, his comments on Gary Hart, and other territorial figures, the concept of catch wrestling, all that type of stuff. That would be the best Omnibus ever. The "In the News" Omnibus is similar, but not really what I mean.
Essentially: everything related to the territories, and wrestling terms, history, etc, outside of JCP, OVW, WCW, AEW, NXT, and WWE. I try to make such playlists myself but the clips are hard to search through. A history of wrestling terms, territories outside JCP, comments on historical figures, moves, moments, icons, stadiums. That would be the greatest of all the Omnibuses, in my opinion. It would be a product, a compilation, that nobody else could come close to making except Jim, and Brian. It would be the greatest audio compilation of wrestling history, in history.
Actually I would make this Omnibus for you guys, if you paid me 500 bucks for my time, so I can get away from work for 2 weeks and just listen and compile the clips. I'm not even joking.
I remember Freddy Blassie when he was a manager in WWF in the 1980s and also I remember him from being on an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show as well. Possibly one of the 1st wrestlers to appear on a major Television show at the time.

Oh yeah. Got a headband on at night with bluetooth speakers in it synced to my phone and listen to King Corny and Sir Brian lull me to sleep lol

Yes! Wish there was video!
That'd be me
All I hear in my subconscious while asleep is Corny and Brian
The knowledge is amazing !
2:59:49 LMAO the way Brian yells "Fuck!" is a certified laugh every time. If I was that close to the exact answer, I'd have said the same thing.
I've been DYING for this Omnibus. Thank you to everyone who worked on it!

Same here! Love when they do guess the program. I Know what I'm listening to tonight before bed now !
I love this segment. I like learning about wrestling from the old days.
I love this comment. I like reading comments about learning about wrestling from the old days.
I love when Jim gets mad at HIMSELF when he gets it wrong lol

Ho ho ho what a great Christmas gift! Guess the Program Omnibus! Thanks guys, this is wonderful. Happy Holidays! 🎄🎁🎉 🎊
This Omnibus is awesome and absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Definitely the best addition to the show. So so fun!
I could listen to old school wrestling content like this forever
So you’re a racist
I love how Jim instantly took Brian's game and made it wayyyy better.
This is what I’m talking about. Thank you. And Happy New Year.
This is my favorite segment on the program. I love trying to guess along with the guys.
Hey im listening to this right now too!

Love this, I'm waiting for the return on In The News too
I love In The News too. They had the wildest stories.

A lot has happened since you guys took a break. Looking fwd to Jim and Brian coming back.
Until listening to the omnibus, I never realized how few of these Jim gets.
There's a Beverly Hills Supper Club joke somewhere in that Bischoff/John Davidson comparison and I'm sure it's in poor taste 😂
Yes! Can’t wait to listen to this one. These always make me wish I had been able to see guys like Bruno Sam Nartino and Hobo Brazil.
Gotta love that Jack Pfeffer. 😂
@@YogsenForfothI agree, that stuff is great, lol. I also wouldn’t mind seeing who would win between Mr. Kung Fu and Ninja Warrior.
So funny and so true of Eric Bischoff, I remember when I first saw him on AWA, that's exactly what he looked like a game show host 😂
Haha. Just Googled John Davidson. Definitely like Bischoff
Every program tells a story.
Love these omnibuses when they go deep in the history absolutely fantastic

I'm from not far from there, Cape Girardeau

2:41:50 the first time they make it a competition.
How can anybody know this much about wrestling?
It helps that he's one of the few wrestling personalities that's consistently sober.

I love how Corny and Brian like to stump each other by going through their heaping helping of their collections of the Castle and Last Manor.
was hesitant to start this one, but so glad i did. one of the best i've heard so far.
You ever hear of that guy who was obsessed with Ember McLain then shot up a supermarket?
my favorite is guess the program....love it

When is Volume 2 coming out? I love this stuff!
Could someone please invest in a new chair for Mr. Last before all the numerous clips combined of Brian fighting with his chair becomes its own omnibus?
For real. He's been bitching about since before COVID.
Love the ending. Not the first time Jim Cornette has been DQ'd.
Gardner
City in Massachusetts and The Iron Russians were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Hans Schnabel and Lou Newman.
I couldn’t guess a single card if it wasn’t Rock Vs Hogan or Stone Cold and even then I’d probably freeze up 😅
Hi can anyone tell me in which episode does Jim say Matt riddle to not mess with samoans( Roman Reigns) and the timings
And boom goes the dynamite!!! 😂
Holy Shit. I didn’t realize how annoying Cornette’s correcting Last pronunciations was.
3:13:07 You can see an image of the program Cornette is using in a video elsewhere called Wrestling From A to Z with Jim Cornette.
Bockwinkle kinda had a Wink Martindale type game show host look (and vocabulary too).
Thank god Jim asked to change the rules initially because it became so much more interesting under the parameters he laid out.
I am great bed time listening
Jim is the man....
I love how Corny never answered Brains initial question of which card he'd pay to see.

Also by the Brian. It's Jim's show. So he wins.
Now THIS is the one right here
Jim's BOBO story had me rolling.
Whaaaaaaat
Also Bryan is really good at this , I gotta give him props
Even though I don't know a lot of the names I still really enjoy when they do this. Jim's wrestling mind is insane
Brian’s too. That’s why I love their shows. Such a deep knowledge, respect, and love for wrestling.
Jim has a brilliant mind
Only about wrestling
Brian was right, it should be spelled in spanish: Pepe (being a nickname for Pedro), not Pepy XD
Howard Finkle had this type of knowledge. Except it was classic adult films.
This omnibus does not show up in your recently upload and such. I only found this in your omnibus playlist.
Same.
I’m Lou kippleman
I hear this in his voice every time 😂
Can we talk about how Adam Goldberg and Vince Russo look disturbingly similar?
Really enjoy guess the program I play along and have a 78% success rate
DRAT!!! Hilarious!!
11:30 - I was totally expecting Jim to say "Guyla Rose" was Nyla Rose pre-surgery
Mr. Smith appears to have been Frankie Cain/Great Mephisto.
Jim never says which card he prefers to attend 😂
