In OSRS best armor to fight mages is a set of latex bondage gear :)
In all honesty, higher grades of metal armor should probably give you SOMETHING in magic defense. Having even the best armors in the game give you negative feels off

Congrats on the Mithril gear :D I remember being so excited as a kid when I got my first Mithril/Adamant/Rune armor sets. It was so satisfying to reach those milestones.

this series has me laughing out loud so many times and it gives me so much joy watching a player who have no clue about playing the game, just for enjoying the moments of a new guy learning about the game.

This series actually got me back into Runescape. After 15 years of not playing, I'm beating up cows in Lumbridge again!

Also decided to take the Iron man challenge to have a twist on this old game. It's... interesting so far.
@@imperfectimp nice. Ironman is a great way to make the game more interesting. I would also recommend joining a guild. You could just ask at the GE on world 1 and get invited to a bunch real quick. The only slight challenge is just finding one you really like. But it will make the game more fun and help you find people to do things with

I've been watching Runescape series forever and this is the absolute best one yet in my opinion
Hahaha he's starting to get into efficiency in grinds like world hopping and teleports. I can't wait to see him get his first green cash stack.

This was the most content packed episode of any osrs series I‘ve ever seen
I 100% hope you become one of the big content creators of this community, you deserve it!
There are some points you may be interested in.
Keep Silverlight. (at your pace) in about a year and a half from now you may need it.
You will likely soon encounter a quest Shortened to SOA (not to be confused with the show SAO). For this quest I suggest investigating the "grouping" tab and learning it's functions.
Figure out how to become a wizard. The utility magic provides will reduce the amount of walking you will have to do.
Lastly Metals have different weights. Where Mithril is the lightest metal and Adamantite is the heaviest.
(Hope I kept things vague enough)

I have binge watched this whole series in a day to this point. This is content
amazing video as always. its really cool to see how much you have learned and improved since episode 1.
Personally, i would advise against streaming the game for a while longer. Twitch chat will immediately bombard you with an insane amount of information and telling you to do this and do that, and then get mad when your not doing it right or how they want you to. I would just keep playing the game at your own pace, but thats just me.
either way, ill be watching for sure :)

I cant believe there are people out there walking around with genuine batsibis capes who have no idea. If only we could all be so lucky.
Really enjoy this series! The views might be declining a bit, this tends to happen even with the best of OSRS series, which I think this is definitely one of. Keep going, Flip, you won't regret it.
silverlight has a hidden bonus vs demons which i think it is equivalent to rune when fighting demons

The Stronghold of Security is definitely worth exploring more, but don't bring any valuable items (just food) and run to every chest!

Watching you experience the game for the first time is the purest form of nostalgic joy
When you're free you should consider doing some easy quests. There is a guy named, Doric that is north-west of Falador that needs you to mine some things for him.
Another quest is "Pirate's Treasure" that just requires you to take a ride on a ship and it requires very little walking.

All i will say about that anagram clue;
The character is tied to a free to play quest
The only thing you didn’t figure out that I think there’s kind of no way to figure out on your own… the item called “potion” does literally nothing. All of the potions that you can drink have other names describing what they do, like the strength potions you also had
The balloon's attack sound was actually designed for the Rubber Chicken, a holiday item you can unlock once Easter comes around. Look forward to that, because the chicken allows you 'attack' other players

Powering through and not looking at guides really makes this playthrough great, especially when you're not afraid of dying in the process. Makes me almost want to ditch the guides and wing it, if I had the time.

2) Well done on that amazing research on melee gear, but now, what is the best ranging/maging gear you can have?

Hey I don't know if you noticed or not, but in the combat tab you can actually turn off auto combat so if something is attacking you, you can run like hell without you trying to fight back. It's the best way to get through the stronghold of security
You get a like for using Baroque near the beginning, even though you haven't heard it in the game yet. Great song!

Same. I played this game for hours when I was a kid and didn't know.
I once found a purple cape and gloves and was absolutely devastated when I died and lost them.

Someone might've said it already, but the museum was full of updates that OSRS received over the 10 years. It's very different game from back when it launched in 2013.

I was enthralled the whole video! Fantastic content and I love your humor. So glad you learned about the melee armor working against you when fighting magic users!
One hint: You may want to revisit the Stronghold of Security and get all the way to the end...there are much better rewards waiting for you than the Flap emote lol. Bring an inventory of your best healing fish and your armor. Rather than fighting each monster you encounter, I would suggest using your peak athletic ability to try to evade them...
what's funny is that you could easily find fans who would buy each cape in that inventory for 10m
also, there's about a dozen NPCs walking around the wilderness that sell special clan capes that are cheap
playing for 15+ years never knew you could dye capes lol

Another banger video. Just a tip for when you die, you can go get your stuff back from death, he has an entrance in the graveyard close to where you respawn at the castle when you die.
14:27 underneath your world map, there is an icon of two swords crossing, that means the area is multicombat and you can be attacked by multiple enemies. It only appears in certain areas but I think the early game couldn’t handle multiple people attacking you at once.
Not only could multiple enemies attack you at once, but multiple people can attack the same enemy, you can see how this would either be useful or annoying.
