I bought a low mileage 07 Grand Marquis in 2020. Love the car. Same color as this one. Mine the steering wheel upper half has the wood look like you see on the dash and doors. Gives it a great feel.
These cars right here, you can purchase with the prospect of owning it for 20 years and put 300k miles, trouble free on them. I wish these were still made. You're lucky to get 5 years and 60k trouble free miles out of the garbage being built today.
Noticed on mine probably 3 or 4 trips ago it seemed to have lost some of the power I liked. Had a vacuum leak. 3/8ths hose fixed it. Drove it for a relearn. Has that power again I've been missing and the fuel trim and O2 sensors looked much better now. Probably why I've noticed the long term average is off 27...hard to believe but it actually hand calculates to just about 27 or a little better most tanks since i changed the plugs and boots. But mine is all highway... I'm rarely ever driving 70 because there's so much traffic. I've had some i have liked better and some i disliked for about 9.5 years but this one is pretty good. I see them all the time with triple or quadruple the miles for not a lot of money but I'd bet they need a little of everything. First one I've had in a long time I'd drive just wherever I had the money to go.. and for me, had a reason to go.
These are beautiful cars and respond well to good up keep and the proper Ford specs oil and filter They drive and handle like a dream.Good smooth performance and in my opinion a real fair handling car , you would have to look hard to do better then a rear wheel drive Ford product of that period, and besides it was the last family of frame body fullsize cars.
I’ve enjoyed cars like these my whole life and actually own one just like this one I use to like to change the wheels add stickers loud exhaust the normal cool stuff 😂 but this one now that I’m getting older I think I’ll keep it stock appearing just because it’s so nice I actually have a 05 deville that’s nice and clean but the mercury my opinion is a better car
i don't understand why people overlooked the grand marquis and marauder, in spite them having the same panther and V8, people went to crown vic even though you'll get more quality from mercury...
@@GirlDad189 I'm sorry I was in such a hurry to write a comment, seems to be upset haha, it's 260 miles for a full tank And it's 100% true that it does 16-19 miles per gallon
Why do all of the later 4.6 engines have that sewing machine clatter sound under the hood at idle? the 4.6 in my 99 is totally glass smooth sounding under the hood.
@@GirlDad189 I think something in the design changed because I noticed all of the 4.6's past like 2003 seem to sound like that while a healthy engine from the 90's doesn't seem to make the sound. Not sure what the difference is.

Got my 07 53k on the clock. 4300$. But since it's original owner had passed away car been sitting for a while. Had to replace brakes and rotors. Over heated once. Had to fix that. And a few other things. I also bought spark plugs fuel injectors and other "tune up" things online. All in all I've invested about 3 grand on it to get it up to date. But its my baby. Cruises at 90MPH with ease. V8 power 💪
@@GirlDad189 the other night a little ass Honda was tailing me and I took off. And then he was on the other lane. I pressed the gas like it's another day in the office adrenaline was not even pumping I was simply cruising and I could tell the Honda felt like he was doing 300mph trying to keep up Til I let off the gas🤣 these land battle ships were made to cruise at high speeds. Its not a hellcat. But it darn sure isn't a FWD Honda. Im proud of it.
Once you drive a truck you never want to go back to driving a car. You sit too low on the ground with those cars. Theres a reason ford stopped making them in 2011. You can ride up on my bumper in that car and I wouldnt even notice you trucks rule
yeah there great cars have had a few but your looking at a manifold replacement at the least. make sure you use a Ford racing mani not a Dorman piece of shit.

Just inherited my dad's 02' with only 66k miles. Pure pleasure to drive. They don't make em' like this anymore, unfortunately.
