You are some of my favorite Mamas with two of my favorite babes- I love how strong you are and that you are raising up another generation of strong women!❤
Hi Katie! I have been watching every one of your videos! You are truly inspiring!! I have a 11 week old, and you make me realize outdoor life could still be enjoyed with the little one.
Beautiful lake views. It's tough when the kids are that young, but they will remember the trip, at least my 34 year old daughter remembers her first at age 3.
Hi - I have a 15 month kiddo and your videos make me excited to get out hiking with him. One question - how do you entertain your kiddo on your drive to the trailhead? I feel a little guilty having my son in the carseat for 3-4 hours and then putting him in a backpack for another 2-5 hours while we hike, so I'm trying to find ways to make it more enjoyable for him. Any recommendations or suggestions welcome!
Yeah the long drives can be tough sometimes for sure! I always make sure to pack a lot of fun snacks and car toys. We will usually stop at least once to get out and have a little break (grab a coffee/walk around the grocery store). Music helps too!
Big fan of Trader Joe’s instant coffee packets (I use the Jetboil to boil water then just mix it in) OR if I’m feeling fancy, I use my Outin Nano espresso maker which makes fire espresso ☕️
Do you have any videos talking about safety with little ones? I’m trying to get out more but starting to get a bit worried about the possibilities of cougars out or bears. Would love to hear from your perspective on safety!
Thanks for watching! I talk a little bit about safety in this video 👉🏼 th-cam.com/video/r0QD7G-HY_U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Dr37PHmzFRIoFuWm We do the best we can and I am always open to more safety tips!
Hi, I am new into backpacking, I see you eating inside the tent, and I have seen other TH-camr that mention, that you should never eat inside your tent or within so many feet’s from your tent, is this a myth? You are not the first person that I see eating inside or outside the tent, I just want to do what is right… TIA
@@hikingwithkatie ok, no problem, I don’t want to judge at all, thank you for replying, I was hoping it was totally ok to do it by the tent 😂, I will eat away from my tent then.

Awe, that gives me hope our girls will remember 🥰
I love how Charlie shows the camera what she is eating! She’s going to have her own channel soon enough!
Unprompted too 😂
Charlie needs more interviews!
You are such an inspiration 😊❤
Great video. I have two daughters and have yet to backpack with them. You pick good spots and i am looking forward to getting out there.
This is really inspiring! Greetings from Germany
Thank you so much!
Girls can do hard things! Although this doesn't look as hard as it felt 😂
Yes & yes 👏 👏
I don't know what it is about your videos. But they seem to cheer me up. How many hours are sleep?Did you get before you guess at the hike back.?
We got a few hours of sleep 😝

I think it’s best practice to not, but sometimes we break the rules 😜
