Northern Exposure Filming Location - Roslyn, Washington

The TV show Northern Exposure was set in the town of Cicely, Alaska, but it was produced in Washington state. Although production faciities were located in Redmond, Washington, much of the show was filmed in Roslyn, Washington. Roslyn's Pennsylvania Avenue stood in as Cicely's main street.
In addition to checking out sites they recall from the TV show, visitors come to Roslyn today for its access to outdoor activities in the Cascade Mountains and its festivals. Roslyn began as a coal mining company town, and celebrates that heritage.

Z05A0030 - The 1979 movie The Runner Stumbles was also filmed in Roslyn; the Immaculate Conception Church was featured in that movie

I lived right outside of Roslyn, in a community called Cle Elum. I love it, I get homesick seeing these pictures and shows. It is a wonderful place.
