      At place I work we do Bombay Colada which is basically non alcoholic version of Pinacolada but sweet. Also Punjabi punch which is a mix of orange, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, lychee juices with addition of passionfruit puree .

    As someone who doesn't drink, I really appreciate this. It really sucks when you go somewhere and you're the only one who has to get, like, water or lemonade while your friends are all having fun drinks

    • @Kayta-Linda
      @Kayta-Linda 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Well... what’s so fun about them? Since you don’t drink, you probably don’t like the taste. Is it just the colors or something? Well, lemonade also has enough of that. And water is just really good anyways. So.. huh?

    • @cocoXmarshmallows

      @@Kayta-Linda Uh, my dude, some people can’t drink alcohol for reasons other than just not liking the taste…like for religious reasons, or because of addiction, or allergies, or maybe you’re the designated driver.
      Anyway, I second that water or lemonade is really boring when you’re out with friends. It’s super, super nice when you’re able to get a cool mocktail like this. 👍🏻

    This episode was really great because most of these ingredients are fairly accessible. I don't try a lot of mocktail recipies because they often call for "a grating of a unicorns horn" and some "smashed enchanted beans"

    • @ValeriePallaoro
      @ValeriePallaoro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +89

      Very good point. They think that the absence of alcohol means you have to boost the other stuff. And as is shown here, that's just not the case, is it?

    • @msr1116
      @msr1116 2 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Unicorn's horn has been stuck on container ships and so is in short supply. Enchanted beans come from Mexico and are easier to get. 😂😂 ( I realize some ingredients are either nearly impossible to obtain or insanely expensive.)

    As a Canadian, let me recommend the virgin caesar: clamato (tomato juice with salt and a little clam juice if you can't find it), with little hits of tabasco, worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and lemon juice. Garnish with celery and rim with salt. Don't poke your eye out.

    Another tip for anyone who really wants just an NA version of each of their favorite cocktails, you can buy small bottles of alcohol removed spirits, or spirit mimics. One of the most common is a gin mimic, I like to steep butterfly pea flowers in a gin mimic for an na empress gin feel.

    This is great! I grew up in a Muslim house hood where alcohol absolutely doesn’t exist and not in our nature. Booze is huge here in Kentucky but of course I’ve never found pleasure or desire for alcohol. I’ve decided to take a look into making mocktails especially to serve for my big Muslim family gatherings. It’s fun, a chance to be creative, and people love a fancy drink in their hand! Thank you! 😁

    Spa water is water that comes from the ground. It is full of minerals and healing benefits. I live in Royal Leamington Spa in the UK. We were given the Royal decree by Queen Victoria who used to love to visit the town because of our Spa water. If you go to a German town with the preface "Bad" such as Bad Aibling. That is also a Spa town. Great video. Not sure about dry January. But some fun cocktails to try. Have a great weekend!

    I think that they key to making your own mocktails is to improvise out of the ordinary flavour ideas to prevent it from just being juice. Keep the citrus lower than usual, increase bitter and spicy elements, utilize infusions to make unique syrups and bitters etc. (a couple dashes of bitters although alcholic, wont be a problem for those looking to dial back their alcholol consumption, except if its for religious or medical purposes).

    Recent mocktail fave of mine: Muddle a few slices of jalapeño with a pinch of sugar at the bottom of a rocks glass. Once it's muddled, add some ice. Fill the glass like 2/3 with pineapple juice and then top the rest of the glass with some lemon-lime soda or seltzer. Basically a spicy pineapple marg without the tequila.

    The Grey Fox is also the name of a movie about a folk hero local to my area. He was a “gentleman highwayman” and robbed a number of trains. He became famous for his politeness and he never hurt anyone during his robberies. The name is from the fact that he was older and greying when he became famous and his plans were simple but pretty clever - thus grey fox.

    SInce I'm not very strict as to what counts as drinking, I like to add a dash or two of bitters to my sodas, lemonades etc. Celery, peach, orage, cucumber, good ol' ango. A spray of absinth is also very nice sometimes. It's less alchohol than buttermilk, but its simple and delicious.

    I am an adult that doesn't drink alcohol, for a number of reasons.
    My favorite drink is a Shirley Temple. Where I'm from that means Sprite (lemon lime soda) with grenadine. But I add mint and lime. Muddle the mint and lime together and add a couple tablespoons of grenadine. Then add a sprite. It's so good!!
    I also really like cranberry juice and sprite, or lemonade and sprite. I just really like sprite!

    For a birthday I made the Spa Water along with the Juliet & Romeo for those the didn’t and did want alcohol. Both were a hit. I now keep going back to the Spa Water as a refreshing option on hot days, and have even used basil to replace mint - offers a different flavour profile, but still good.

    10 oz water, 3 tbsp of Nesquick, 4 tbsp of lime juice, and three shakes of Cheyanne pepper. No name for it, but it is surprisingly good. Burns like a real drink, but no headache

    Thanks for these! Sometimes is nice to have a delicious cocktail without alcohol. How about some Cachaca Cocktails? Caipirinha, Batida de Coco, etc... with alcohol.

    I just tried Gray Fox and it’s super delicious, exactly as pictured and foamed wonderfully (although the foam didn’t last much). The Earl Gray syrup is genius, as a tea lover I’ll definitely use the rest of it for drinks.

    Wow, great! These are some amazing ideas and inspirations!
    I'm not much of a drinker myself, and so I'm always looking for non-alcoholic drinks.
    Also, at the bar I'm asked if we can do something non-alcoholic too, and now I have a few more answers!
    I'll easily be able to do the Spa Water and the Basil Orgeat at our bar, and I'll definetly save the Grey Fox recipe for myself! That sounds like something I'd love to make myself for a movie night or having a friend over :3
    Absolutely amazing, thank you for these great recipes!

    I'm 17, and my sister is 21, obviously I don't drink but surprisingly my sister is "virgin" everything. No alcohol, no drugs, no everything basically. But they are an amazing person nonetheless. (Not that intoxication makes anyone better or worse)
    Anyway, we play DnD and I've been trying to find non alcoholic drinks for us to use for our games.
    Thanks to this video I now have 4 recipes to try! I'm very excited to see if my sister will like them. Thank you!

    SPAs were placed you went to drink water before the primping stuff. That is the reason places in the UK have it in the name. Bath Spa for example. The water was from a spring and was meant to have medical benefits. In France places with Aix are usual places with a spring.

Can’t put them away like I used to… so one dead meadow then I need something just as amazing but way less booze. So I offer up a challenge. Going to source that cute red soda- sounds great!
