My wife and I agreed that we will visit Canada for a few weeks with our kids, but we did want to wait to the point when they are old enough to remember and eventually are being able to speak a few words English. Our older son will be 11 in two days, our younger son is 9, so we will wait I assume another year and then start planning the tour. I‘ve spoken with so many friends and colleagues who had the pleasure of visiting Canada and ALL of them were simply put blown away by the beauty of Canada. I’ve done events at all three of the venues right there together. Bridgestone, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Mother Church of Country music, The Ryman Auditorium. I remember walking out on the stage of the Ryman and hearing my Grandparents talking about it in my head. It was one of those real achievements. I just wish they had lived long enough for me to tell them about it.

These Vids are dragging me into a fantastic relaxed mood. I was a drummer years ago and also touring, not as big as these dudes but still, and i always enjoyed the travels and different locations. I also was having a very good drum tech so i kinda get back into that mood that somehow shortly seemed to be a way to earn a living, which didnt work out :) but still, greatest memory.

The Drum Tech 'sitting in' does happen. Maybe the most famous was Steve Rinkov back in 2015 for Mick Fleetwood and Fleetwood Mac. Mick was throwing up pretty badly and simply couldn't play. He did a great job !

The drummer you tech for said he was in pain after the show. Not sure why. Outside of being a drummer myself, playing mainly for Rick Redington in VT. One of VT’s most famous singers 😁. I’m also a ski pro/ instructor at Okemo resort. Three weeks ago I was taken out by a 12 year old in my black diamond group. Sprained left thump and a Severely sprained right shoulder. Still hurts. last night I did a show with another musician I back up, Sammy Blanchette at Stratton resort. After our three hour show I was really feeling it. Tomorrow I’m back on snow before a Monday night residency on the Killington resort access road. A drummer friend of mine calls me iron man 😂 Side note. My truck got recked on my way to a show last year. Wind chill of -35. Pretty much got a ride from a friend to the show and good thing I already had my drums loaded in. kicked ass all nite. Same drummer friend thinks that me doing the show anyways after wrecking my truck makes me a total rock star. Snow must go on right.
