- Shane Van Boening faces Lee Vann Corteza in the opening round of the 2024 Derby City Classic Bigfoot 10-Ball Challenge back in January of this year.
“The South Dakota Kid” Shane Van Boening is a five time US Open 9-Ball champion, as well as both World 8-Ball and World Champion. He has represented Team USA 16 times at the Mosconi Cup.
“The Slayer” Lee Vann Corteza is the 2020 Derby City Classic 9-Ball Championship and is a former World Cup of Pool and China Open Champion.
This is a race to ten, alternating break, on the Diamond Bigfoot 10 Foot table.
Mark Wilson and Scott Frost called the action.

Mark and Scott were great together they're a close second for my favorite all time duo of Billy and Mr amphibious himself Danny D. But Scott is getting up there hes a much much better commentator over the years and hes only getting better hes my favorite for one pocket because without him the game wouldn't be the most popular game today

It is designed to "even the playing field." They often do the same in 9-ball tournaments these days.
