- After a year of putting it off, I finally bought my dream camera, the one and only camera I’ll be using for my future street photography, the Leica Q3. Today’s video will be covering my first impressions and showcasing some straight out of camera sample JPEGS to showcase just what the camera is capable of.

Hi,
Congratulations for your new camera.
I'm shooting with a Leica MP240 as well as with the Q3.
Both are fantastic and reliable cameras and I love them both.
Hope you enjoy your dream camera as much.
Thank you, its a lovely experience
Now you have the function buttons set the way you want them - save a profile! - and back it up on a computer. When you do a firmware update you need to save your profile(s) or they will be reset! To get the best out of the Q3 - shoot raw and proces in Lightroom.
Oh dont worry, always back up my stuff
I got my dream Q3 a few months ago after being a Fujifilm user since the original X100. There is definitely a “Leica look” - my wife commented immediately how distinct the images looked. I’ve added an IDSWorks handgrip which looks like part of the camera and I’m shooting in RAW with default Adobe Landscape on import.
How you finding the camera as a whole do you feel like you made the right choice for your style of shooting?
@SnapsBySamosh I absolutely love it and like you keep looking at it saying to myself I can't believe I have a Leica!
@SnapsBySamosh and since getting it I've taken some of my best ever images both street and landscape. I just followed you on Instagram if you want to see some of my images @phillevy
Great video , I find the SOOC jpegs fantastic and shoot bnw jpegs all the time , manual focusing is fast with focus peaking selected as well , these are just my personal opinions , thanks again
Manually focusing is a dream
Glad you got ur dream camera! Waiting for bangers
Very soon!
If you haven't used the macro yet, you should. It is really good. I have the Q2 Monochrom. Actually going to take it out night time sometime in London and Southend.
Yeah i tried it on a few things its really cool, dont see it as a use in my photography though but its a nice to have
Get the IDSworks grip. It’s great
Will have a look, thanks
@@SnapsBySamosh 2nd this. i use IDS grip on my Q2. can't do without it, now.
What brand is your mic, the sound is great! Congrats on the Q3, they are superb camera. I find the battery performance very poor. Flat out getting 100 photos before a quarter left. Subbed, looking forward to seeing your Q3 photos and outings.
Hey, thanks a lot, the mic is a Hollyland Lark M2 - tiny little things that pack a huge punch.
In terms of battery I haven’t found it that bad, went out took 280 photos and was down to a quarter, i was out and about from like 10 till 6 and I got a spare battery and a slim wireless charger if i get stuck (thank god for usb c quick charging)
Buy the lims half case its a better grip mate
Ill look at them mate, cheers for the recommendations
I would feel the price of the Fuji (2k) just as much as the price of the Q3 (6k) lol
100% - worth every penny
Why is it your dream camera?
Mainly the goal I had since I started. But from a technical standpoint.
- The form factor
- The lens is a one and done for street photography ( i love 28mm) and its Summilux
- the customer service and aftercare is the best ive experienced
- 60mp is obviously not needed, but very impressive in a camera this size
- the autofocus in incredibly good
Glad you got your dream camera, but I’m not sure it’s safe to be driving one handed whilst recording yourself…
Someone recorded me, in my videos. Im never recording myself.
@@SnapsBySamosh I apologise but it looked like you were in the drivers seat.
