The WNBA needs to figure out the difference between a foul, and assault and battery. What I've been seeing on the screen is assault and battery perpetrated against CC. Note that 17% of the league's flagrant fouls, (essentially assault and battery,) were perpetrated against CC. All players being equal, that number should have been under 2%. The numbers don't lie, folks. This isn't random probability. And this isn't the NHL. The next Bball game I watch will be with CC playing. But if I don't see the assaults brought to a halt, that game will be my last.
This bad situation was caused by certain people . Someone who has enough clout that both players and referees must listen to them. . It might just be a black white or sexual affiliation difference but it is neither healthy nor welcome !

Not sure what controversy the WNBA has to deal with is. No one is asking for special treatment for CC. Just asking to implement existing rules fairly. In Hockey, arguably fans like fights and bad behavior, but not so in basketball, especially in the women’s game. Who is asking for rougher play? It is not the case that fans love fouls that are not called and rough play, and that tamping down on them would reduce fan attendance. Implementing the rules would be a win for all parties. The WNBA’s lack of action is bewildering.
